Minnor correction, the channel is tenically a Video Game Essay Channel (so to speak). But yeah when add the factor that these people not only do history videos on the side, but also had soppnsers for game like War Tunder and other WW2 type games before, yeah that is looking preaty bad on there end. Aw ow ok, so yeah welcome to the real world baby, disappointment is always around the corner when you least expected. I certainly felt the same way when i found out that John Lasseter groumed them wemon, or to put it in a more contemporary example, when i found out that Bethesda reached a new low with Fallout 76 and then some, like this is beyond a joke at this point.

Well, that was a legit reaction on my behalf.
Yes, disappointment always lingers in the air. As for Bethesda, I saw that long comming ever since I sobered up from Fallout 4's hype. Then and there they have proved to me that they are incapable to learn and improve. Before there was the excuse of not knowing better, but after New Vegas have builded the foundations for Fallout's possible greatness with the worthy successor of the originals... yet, they just threw the pearls to pigs. After Fallout 76 they are dead to me, I say.
As for the lunatic. No, it's not him. My mistake there. A lot of people have noticed the eerie similarity between the two, but it's confirmed to not be the same. Still, that was some pagan fever dream. Barely makes extra credits better though.

It went well beyond economy. Germany was divided in between two political extremes- communism and fascism- and one of them got into parliament, staged a political coup, and established an absolute dictatorship that spread propaganda and ruthlessly suppressed anyone who disagreed. Yeah, the way Germany had to take full responsibility for WWI was bullshit, but what came after went well beyond being understandable- something the Nurnberg trials after WWII established.

The point of the strip is to make fun of Extra Credits and there video of trying to stop "Normalizing Nazis" or to answer the joke in question, (in the time frame in question 3:38 - 3:40) they literary said that if you play the Axis side of this video game then you a literary Nazis. (this is beyond them lacking any forsite)
Now as for what Kosta said in the comic wasn't him trying to justify what the Germans did during and after WW2 (there is no way that anyone could ever difference that and i'm not gonna argue against that, for there is no way to justify any of this), what he was talking about was about why the average German would even join such ideologies in the first place.
