Actually Kishi was supposed to have said he'd reveal Kakashi's face for something like a death scene - which is bad news for Kakashi fans.

Personally, since the mask is a big part of him, I think it should be for a special occasion, then rarely repeated after that. For instance, something iconic, similar to the WW2 end of the war kiss between the soldier and nurse. Or for a wedding kiss, etc.
