And we've reached the end... Of this chapter anyway-If you want to know what happens next... Well- I have thought about it-
Syphone's companions didn't actually think that their leader would follow through with his scheme- They'd gotten into the habit of humoring him. Especially approaching matchtime, Syphone would become increasingly sporadic and unbalanced, shouting disjointed vehement exclamations; and they let him get it out, releasing the stress usually allowing him to regain composure before heading out to the arena. But this time...
This time had been for real. Syphone had finally snapped.
But the other Magikoopa Masters were not nearly as mean-spirited as their leader- The eldest especially, the white-robed healer.
Syphone was apparently off celebrating at the juice bar when Fluffy came investigating...
So that's more-or-less how I planned the next chapter to go. Maybe introducing some more Major Leaguers and eventually ending up with the elder Magikoopas back in the Champ's room, trying to work out a way to help Rawk Hawk back to normal.
There's plenty of room for embellishment. I know I want to involve more magic mishaps, and maybe end up with an ironic fate befalling Syphone... Because he really is just a kid trying to be a big scary dark sorcerer.
Wow this really cheered me up. I don't have a clue what I ought to upload next...
But this one's in the can! Whoo!

Apologies for just responding to this now instead of earlier like most of my comments, but I sort of fell a bit asleep at my computer before I dragged myself to bed, as it quite late into the night. Still, I always pride myself on finishing a series, much like you have now, and I do like the deepened inking and the richer color cleanup you've put upon this picture, as it strengthens whats already there, and whats there is just so heart warming...not the leopard styled bed, oh no no, thats just too loud, but then you're just keeping to what the source material gives you XD.
Still, I'm quite happy that your sharing of this re-vamped piece and all this back story and future notes has cheered you up ^__^ I too am most curious what else you've got left in your docket, but no rush, as I know classes are still on, and you're probably tied up in things. But otherwise, congratulations on reaching one of your goals and hope you further success in many others! ^_^
