the freaked-out bird look is so great.loosely based off of my aunts cockatiel.
trying out some new things here that i've been wanting to do for a while... been wanting to play with textures and tilework with watercolor, and the whole idea of the "off camera" shadow source. i saw use it a while back and have wanted to try it myself ever since. i also just really need to work on environments, however simple.

Heheh, the huge owl eye is great. I like how you utilized all the watery splotches to give the background more texture....whenever I try using that technique, it just comes out looking like...watery splotches.... -_-
