amazing! almost 52 years of wall crawling and web-slinging. i am a huuuuuge spider-man fanboy (check my acutal DA-ID and you get an idea) and i thought it might be time for a proper piece, its been a while since i did my last spidey drawing and his birthday is right around the corner, so here you have it. did this for fun, and damn, it was fun! going to have this baby on my wall soon, at least in din a2.
there are three versions: clean artwork version, the "oldschool variant cover" (the lettering i grow up with) and the "modern" one.

Yeah i know he can use his feet to hold onto things, but it seems awfully inconveniet.
imagine having your feet and ONLY your feet glued to a wall and trying to hold yourself up without using your hands. It's almost impossible to do without running out of energy within about 5 seconds. and then try to do such an intense leg workout while casually having lunch and reading a comic book.
And since he seems to be leaning against that wall with his behind, why not just use that to hold himself up?
conclusion: this pose is phisically impossible without superhuman strength. Or a very sticky butt.

This is just an amazing piece, incredibly casual and everyday-like - love it so much. However, as a person that has to eat on foot very often, I gotta say - that burger ain't staying on his thigh like that without additional help, no sir!

its a donut! actually two of them, and they are very, very
heavy because of all the sugar, fat and calories... like they
have spider-sticking powers too i guess?!
there are close-u/detail shots on my blog, there you should
recognize the donut better!

thanks, well you just have to draw a lot... and use
youtube to get a good start. i think as a beginner,
today it's awesome that there are so many artists
doing live-speed paints and tutorials... was much harder
to get better at it years ago i think. only drawing a lot
and testing things out really worked.
