Description
(Welp...here's my attempt at a one-shot fanfic I guess? Well more like a conversation between these 2 Lincolns lol. So pardon me if there are any grammatical errors, haven't done this since forever lol.)Misfortune: Didn’t think you would call me out to a place like this brother-
Shopkeeper: Stop saying that!
Misfortune: Ok ok sheesh…we kinda are by the way-
Shopkeeper: I will not have you waste my time with-!
Misfortune: HEY! You called me out here remember? And why all the way out here with all this dust and about? So out with it dude, what do you want?
Shopkeeper: …
Misfortune: Ah I see thanks for sharing. I’m glad we can get to an understanding with that silence coming from you. And just for the record I’m still gonna kill your sis-
Shopkeeper: What happened…?
Misfortune: Say what now?
Shopkeeper: What led you down to this path. To hunt my sisters!
Misfortune: Pfft! Does it matter? You already know why-
Shopkeeper: You’ve been wronged by your family, YOUR sisters! And yet you feel the need to hunt MY sisters-
Misfortune: AND if you let me kill them I would have hopped onto the world to kill the next batch of loud sisters!
Shopkeeper: YOU-…(sigh)…dammit…Every single time you appear from the shadows to attack me and my sisters. And every single time I fend you off. I am tired of THIS.
Misfortune: …
Shopkeeper: I just want to understand and maybe I can help you.
Misfortune: ?
Shopkeeper: Please…
Misfortune: (sigh) Alright fine…so basically… (Plot of NSL)
Shopkeeper: YOU FOOL! YOU are to blame for the situation YOU put yourself in!
Misfortune: Hey man-
Shopkeeper: And the nerve to pretend to be cursed! I WAS ACTUALLY CURSED!!! The PAIN and SUFFERING I caused! My mother and father…You MURDERED your FAMILY for something so STUPID! Just because they stuffed you in that suit for-
Misfortune: A little over 2 months give or take.
Shopkeeper: !
Misfortune: Yeah…may I continue?
Shopkeeper: …
Misfortune: I know 2 months isn’t that big of a deal, but imagine being stuck in this suit everyday. Trapped in constant heat. Getting unbearable rashes, literally wallowing in my own piss and shit. Lisa made sure I wasn’t able to take off the suit.
Shopkeeper: What…? Your Lisa did that?
Misfortune: At the very least she made a small device to eliminate the rancid odor.
Shopkeeper: …
Misfortune: I wasn’t even allowed to be in my own home and for food I had to eat whatever scraps they threw away in the trash. You’d think that ever since I became a living good luck charm they’d take better care of me…heh…
Shopkeeper: That doesn’t make any sense…
Misfortune: Ha! Something we can both agree on!
Shopkeeper: …Didn’t you ask anyone for help? Surely someone must’ve noticed your pain!
Misfortune: I didn’t…
Shopkeeper: Huh!? Why!?
Misfortune : At the time I didn’t want to get my family into trouble. I hoped that one day they would open their eyes and come to their senses. But I was wrong. I was weak…
Shopkeeper: What of your friends? They must’ve noticed something was wrong…
Misfortune: That they did. After my so called family made me into a lucky charm they decided to keep me for themselves. Meaning I had to be "homeschooled". After 3 days my best friend Clyde got worried and came to visit me.
Shopkeeper: Ah that’s good.
Misfortune: Only to be beaten by Lynn...
Shopkeeper: Wha…
Misfortune: She beat him because she didn’t want their “good luck” to be taken away. After that Clyde never came back. With the injuries he endured I couldn’t blame him. My other friends tried to meet me as well but you can guess what happened next…
Shopkeeper: And to think it’s all because of YOUR lie.
Misfortune: Moving forward! I was dragged to every event to “support” my family, but to avoid the risk of giving anyone else my “good luck” I was kept hidden in Vanzilla. It’s the name of the family…metal carriage? Anyway, throughout the days I grew weaker and weaker until my death from a severe heat stroke. I only lasted 2 weeks in this suit…
Shopkeeper: Wait-You said you 2 months!
Misfortune: Though my body has perished, my soul however was unable to free itself from this damn suit! And to top things off those things didn’t realize I was FUCKING dead. Which is most likely due to Lisa’s device masking the odor of my rotting corpse. So for the remainder of the time I had to watch as my corpse being dragged along to whatever antics they get into.
Shopkeeper: That’s madness…
Misfortune: Even as a spirit I couldn’t forget the pain. Desperately wanting to be free from this suit…
Shopkeeper: …so what changed? Seems to me you enjoy being that suit now!
Misfortune: Pop pop…my…our grandfather…
Shopkeeper: …?
Misfortune: Pop pop he…came for a surprise visit cuz it was my birthday, but…
Shopkeeper: Not only your family didn’t realize you were dead, but also forgot your birthday…I can’t even…
Misfortune: Imagine his confusion, no one celebrating my 12th birthday. Pop pop eventually found my corpse in the backyard. I remember seeing him so worried for me, trying to take off this suit but no avail thanks to Lisa. He yelled at them, demanding to help him remove my suit, Lisa immediately pulled out a small device and pressed a single button. After 2 months being trapped in this suit, Pop pop was able to set me free…
Shopkeeper: I’m guessing that your grandfather didn’t take it very well seeing that you’re dead…
Misfortune: I’ve never seen Pop pop so mad…I mean when he sees his only grandson dead with rotting flesh and maggots all over, it would make sense for him to lash out.
Shopkeeper: What about the rest? How did they react?
Misfortune: In utter disbelief. Those stupid looks they were wearing, as id they didn’t do anything wrong!
Shopkeeper: …
Misfortune: After Pop pop gave them the piece of his mind, he was about to call the authorities. Now seeing them turn pale, that’s a sight to behold hehe…but Lori had other plans…
Shopkeeper: What did she do…?
Misfortune: With the gold club in her hands, that bitch murdered Pop pop. I don’t remember exactly after that, but I do remember is my anger, my hatred. I had to avenge my grandfather from those monsters! And next thing you know it I’ve become the vengeful demon you see before you!
Shopkeeper: So through your rage, you came back to life to be forever bound to that suit with the power to manipulate “bad luck”.
Misfortune: Ding! Ding! Ding! The look on their faces seeing their good luck charm turn against them! Their pathetic pleas and forgiveness just only made their suffering even worse! Oh man I think my favorite part is when I forced Rita to eat Lily-
(At this point you readers are free to imagine what horrors Misfortune inflicted upon his family lol.)
Shopkeeper: ENOUGH! I don’t need to hear that…(sigh)…I…I don’t know how to help you from this…
Misfortune: (sigh) Hey man you asked, but let me ask you this. Why do you defend your sisters, knowing what they are capable of? Didn’t they abandon you? You were alone at one point just like me!
Shopkeeper: I was for a time, but my mother- I MEAN LUCY! Ahem! Lucy was by my side even after finding out that I was cursed. She helped me slowly open my heart to my family and I’ll be forever grateful to her.
Misfortune: Ugh yuck! So all this time you are one of the lucky 1%. Guess I should have seen it coming knowing how your Lucy smothers you. To be honest I thought you were some glorified Doormat variant.
Shopkeeper: Excuse me? Doormat variant? What nonsense you spouting out this time?
Misfortune: Oh! According to my brother, “Doormats” are basically Lincoln variants who are religious loyal to their sisters. Lincolns who would throw away their individuality to forever serve them.
Shopkeeper: “Brother”? Wait…you mean there are more just like you?
Misfortune: Oh yeah, he is one of the rest of the 99% like me! Heck it’s thanks to him that I’m even able to traverse different worlds!
Shopkeeper: You speak of him with such reverence and respect. Dare I ask who is this brother of yours?
Misfortune: Hmm…I guess there’s no harm in telling you. Our brother is called Loser.
Shopkeeper: Huh?
Misfortune: Yep.
Shopkeeper: Seriously?
Misfortune: Uh-huh.
Shopkeeper: What’s his story?
Misfortune: I think it’s for the best if you ask him yourself. If you ever get to meet him at all.
Shopkeeper: Hmm…
Misfortune: (whistles) I’m still gonna kill your sisters.
Shopkeeper: WHY YOU PIECE OF-
End
(If any of you lot made it this far then I hope you had a decent read lol.)
