A surprise--and late to show--birthday present for my wonderful guy friend!

I'M SO SORRY I DIDN'T GET TO SAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY WHEN IT WAS TIMELY I HOPE THIS MAKES UP FOR IT YOU'RE AWESOME. ;_;

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance fanart! Because that is one of the games I learned through stalkery research he likes that I know, too! From watching my siblings play it! These guys are just chillin' after a rough battle. Or something.

I ended up doing way more than I planned, which is to say I actually colored it and spent more than an afternoon on it. I have mixed feelings about it.

Ike looks way awesome and I love him. Elincia doesn't look too bad. (Stupid reference pictures all having her hands to her front so I couldn't see the collar and inevitably got it wrong, grumble grumble.) Soren can and should be ignored.

I based the poses off a picture on a Lady Antebellum CD booklet. (Own the Night, for those curious. Which explains the odd physics at work with Elincia's dress--d'you suppose Hilary wears that thing around her house sometimes, just for fun, or that it gathers dust in the closet?) Which is why I did two male characters and one female. Perhaps Titania would've been a more appropriate choice (this is an odd trio, isn't it) but I needed some girl in a dress. :I And Titania... I couldn't do it. Also, weird pose that Soren got stuck with.

So sometimes I do artwork for friends' birthdays. However, I'm really hectic and random about it. For example, I should've done something for my little brother's birthday and I wish I'd done something for , but the three snuck up on me and came in rapid succession. I couldn't do something for everyone, and I happened to start Ren's first. (Also I wanted to give him something after the day he had last year.) I could invent some reasoning for why I didn't give my own brother a piece, but I really am not reliable about this and I don't want to set up expectations from all my friends when their special days come around. I'm forgetful, sometimes I'm lazy, and sometimes there's other stuff I'm dying to get to. If I get/make time, I'll draw something, but if I don't please don't take offense. :< I can be a ditzy artist.

Also good[-ish] art takes time, yo.
