Because there are quite a few references to Shakespearean lore in the world of Gargoyles, ie. Puck, Oberon and Titania from A Midsummer Night's Dream; the relationship between Coldstone, Coldfire and Coldsteel is very similar to Othello; MacBeth from, well, MacBeth
