Decided that the Pathfinder party has finally lived long enough (they just hit level three) that I should sit down and sketch out the whole lot of them. I've actually sketched out all of them before, but I think the only ones that I've posted here before are Berendal ([link] and Fizzle Thornblossom ([link] , so the newcomers are the half-orc barbarian Zaruk, and our determined healer, Maxwell Halfacre. For those of you familiar with the Rise of the Runelords campaign, the heroes just finished exploring the Caverns of Wrath (their first dungeon experience), so they get to claim true adventurer status at last. It was a fun little dungeon, and let to several amusing moments, which, after all, is the point of the whole thing in the end.Related content

I dont think you capture Maxwell's ugliness just right though... he has mutton chops and is going slightly bald on top.

Well, I did give him a big forehead, to hint at his fading hair. I'll try to play it up more next time. As for his looks, obviously Maxwell is the Bruce Willis of Pathfinder - he wears the look well.

Maxwell aside, I think everyone turned out well. My favorite is probably Fizzle. I think you captured her mirth in optimism really well

Why thank you. I agree - it was a bit of a challenge getting all four of them squeezed into the picture. Of course part of that is surely my failure to plan things out properly.

Doing thumbnails is always better for that kind of things... although you can't plan anything even like this.

I used to be pretty good at doing that - working stuff out in advance, I mean. I think my problem of late is that I don't have as much time to sit and draw as I used to, so I tend to jump the gun and not prepare properly. That is a mistake (obviously) - I should fight that urge...
