I've only seen this particular cartoon one time back in 1966. But totally
forgotten about it until now. Thanks for linking me to this little gem Billy!

If I recall right, that cartoon made it's debut on "The Road Runner Show."
A series that ran between 1966-1973. Here's a link to the intro.Β Β

Thanks for that link.Β Even as a kid, I disliked the RR because he never had a problem, whereas here was Wile E busting his hump and getting nowhere.Β I identified with the anti-hero.

The same for me.As a kid I ways rooted for Wile to catch that Damn bird. And only recently have
predatory animals such as foxes, wolves, cats. etc. have been cast in a good way.Β
And like you. I've always found the villain to be more interesting the the hero. With very few exceptions
one knows no matter what, the good guy will be virtuous and will do what is right. Of course, in reality
that's not always true.
Now the villain is far more complex and unpredictable. One never knows what he/she will do. that's
what I find so intriguing about your rabbit OC. So many contradictions And mental states of mind on
so many levels of thought.

I never thought of the Roadrunner as a hero.Β Heroes don't run!Β I felt Wile E was stuck in a world where he had unlimited credit with that most sinister of companies, ACME, yet to eat he had to catch a skinny bird that lives off of lizards and other small prey.Β That is why I thought that Animal Man Krafty Koyote was so good.Β Krafty made a deal with his horrible god to spare his world, Wile E would bide his time until he could overthrow the tyrant.Β Wile E was forced to humiliate himself by proclaiming to the 4th wall that he was a super genius.Β Yet it was Frtiz Freleng et al. that tortured him, he never got a chance.Β Even Bugs was defeated, twice.Β (gremlin, Cecil the Turtle).Β This is in one of my journals today but I yank those down quick and I thought you might like it, this is about Lobo having to go after the Roadrunner.Β

Even with an axe, or hatchet -
I cannot but think of Terry Pratchett!
The humor in your art proclaims
your many underlying aims.
Lulling these who mortals be,
who learned their anthro from TV.
CoyotesΒ for 6 miillion years,
scavenged flesh and fought back tears.
They have gotten here by pain and fasting
Now darkness shall be everlasting:
Poems are writ by fools like me
But only Ky-otes use ACME!

Beautiful CGI animation. Would have made for a great full length film.
