Description
My version of a little known Hannah-Barrera character Loupe de Loup.Unlike other wolf characters of that era he was always portrayed as a
good wolf that tried his best to help others in need but his actions always
back fired on him.Anyways i hope you enjoy him. Β

Although I knew about this cartoon character, I couldn't find him featured in any of the classic
Hanna Barrera TV cartoon shows that were so prevalent in the 1960's.Β
But I managed to find a book about the history of animation and found that the Loopy the loup was a number
of cartoon shorts produced by HB exclusively for movie theater audiences.Β Β

I may have seen some of it.Β I have read that Loopy was the last gasp of cartoons shown before a feature.Β I don't remember watching him, but it rang a bell.

Loopy is a character that's almost forgotten now days and theatrical toons are a thing of the past.
I recall as a child going to the Aztec Theater,( It was built around the turn of the century.) and
watching two feature films with a number of cartoons and one could stay all day watching these
movies. Now it's one film and, "Get Yo Ass Outta Here!"Β

Funny, I don't remember this Hanna-Barbara character. Like him though.

From what i've gathered off the internet he was shown only at movie
theaters as a comic shortΒ cartoon.He was never featured in any of the
early Hanna Barbabra regular cartoon shows.It's really too bad as i've seen
a few of the cartoons on You-Tube and they were quite funny! Β

Thanks!Loupe is an really old cartoon character who dates
from the mid 60's.Even then he was not featured that much.
In that era wolves were the bad guys.
