Gideon Grey from Zootopia!
Been wanting to draw Gid since I saw the movie and I did this one a few days ago. So, I know my drawing style is kinda Don Bluth-like. Buuuuut... when I draw my Zootopia stuff I try my hardest to make it as Disney lookin' as possible, 'cause y'know, its a Disney movie. But apparently I kinda fail at doing so.
(Yes peeps, I know he worked for disney. XD)Anyway! This is my last submission until around June 11th possibly, since I already have a drawing done that I wanna post then, because of Califur and stuff I'll be kinda busy next week!
Also, I'm having computer problems. twitter.com/Kosperry/status/73β¦ I twittered about it, but basically the family computer (A desktop mac and the computer that I use to do my art on)'s screen display shuts off randomly and its gotten to the point where it just always shuts off making it impossible for me to do my digital art now. 8( Been kinda stressed about it but I'm not gonna lose hope that it'll be fixed somehow, someway and hopefully soon. Anyone else ever had this problem?

I think we have the newest OS but I'm not sure. I wondered if that was the case though. I read a comment here saying they're having the problem as well. So I wonder if that could be it? Too coincidental!

Well I know every time I update my OSX I have to come in and have them patch it because Apple can't do shit right. So I would back up your hard drive the night before taking in your Mac and having them patch it up for you see if that doesn't solve your problems.Β

I would strongly suggest getting a back up drive at your local Mac store, they cost like 60$ which is a good investment especially if you plan on doing this constantly. If it started doing this right after updating to the new OSX then that would likely be your problem. But have them run a diagnostics test on your computer just the same. They have this power of being able to find why your computer is crashing and tell you what you need to do from there. It solved my problem when my Mac laptop started black screen flickering.Β

Do you use a usb hub? If so, the newer macs have a glitch in which putting your desktop on sleep ensures it freezes the HDD.
Otherwise, it sounds like a general hardware problem so get it looked at. Apple doesn't cover software issues in their warrant/protection though.

I hope we can get it looked at, at least. Maybe Apple could salvage our hard drive or something? My sis would be devastated if we lost all our photos....again. :/ In case its something with the drive.

Then it should be the monitor itself, graphics card, or RAM like the section reserved for the video card. Normally once it runs out of graphics dedicated ram it eats up idle RAM, but.
If you're talking about sending it to a White Room to recover data if Apple agreees the HDD is fucked, then it may be lost as it can cost thousands. A local high-end business employee here had to fork out several hundred grand to recover his job's work.Β

Had it for about 6 years. :0 Though back in 2012 the hard drive failed and it had to be replaced.
Yeah the display just shuts off but the computer is still on like you can hear if there's a video playing, applications still open etc.

Hmm...well what I usually do if I need to save up for anything major is I put some money away for it. So you put half
of your spending money away(basically what you use for getting anything that you don't need) and if you do that for
a good while you'll get there faster then you think

SO I know what you're experiencing!! You're video card might be dying. This happened to my Mac a few months back, luckily it was still under warranty to get it fixed lmao.. I'd recommend to take it in to get it checked out before it gets too worse and having more kernel panics than needed. ;0;
