A very Happy Birthday to Don Bluth today! I wanted to draw something The Land Before Time since 2018 is the year the film turns 30, this November! It was my first Bluth movie and it will always be one of my childhood favorites!
Β Iβve always wanted to try my hand at drawing the group as adult dinos!

Hm. Reminds me... Last week I saw a set of four of the films... I was disappointed by the back of the box. I had the films as a kid up to the fifth one, and saw up to Big Freeze...
Big Freeze was on the box of the "first five movies" instead of Journey into Mists. (or was it Land of Mists?)
Say what one will about the quality of sequels, but I liked them alright. Mists was an intense one.

Hey.. whoever keeps posting about the death of Ducky and Anne Marie's voice actress to be funny or cool online, You're not funny.Β At all.Β It's disrespectful and extreamly rude not only to the little girl and her family and Don himself who I'm still still feels sadness for that all these years later; AND to Kosperry who all she wanted to do was share her love appreciation for an artist who lights up her (and all of ours) world and to give that to everyone around her; and on Don's birthday.

Curious to see how the characters (some less than others) don't quite look like the adults if their character design style is retained but you can still tell it's them and it's done in Don Bluth style albeit reminding me a bit more of 'We're back! A dinosaur's story' rather than the dinosaurs from the 'Rite of spring' scene in the original 'Fantasia' which the original 'The land before time' took after.
