i'm pretty much disappointed lately by all the people who prefer positive themes in photography. vivid warm colors, smiles and all that c--p. and they're not saying it out loud of course, they just tend to
like crazy any tanned girl in orange swimsuit and... that's it, nothing else matters at this point. and of course they ignore everything else. it's a good thing minor key is normal and respected in music. what's so wrong about some pain and drama in photography?© 2009 Konstantin Alexandroff (Dirty Angels .Net -- [link] )

The thumbnail drew me in. Had to see the full size photo. This is the first photo I have click on in the Halloween special that is just a photo, not digital art. It's refreshingly original. I like the photos voice. I see her as the hawk come alive.Very thought provoking which is what art should do; provoke thought and inspire other artist. Fantastic photo!!!

this is really good and creepy at the same time. Shouldn't it be in photo manipulation genre? either way, she does remind me of Samara. Props for being brave enough to take this pic and spend time to edit it...O__O All that time STARING at the picture...

Her hands are magnificent and even though I've liked everything in this pic, the hands are still the best part of it! The lake seems so terribly cold... I love it!!

Honestly, I think that that kind of photography which is creepy and weird is more original and creative than some "sweet" pictures of tanned girls.

it's totally weird, but i honestly think this picture is somewhat beautiful. like in it's own, individual kind of way, you know?

I find this whole photo both beautiful, yet creepy at the same time. The pose of her body shows a sexy yet threatening image. and the background strikes my heart full of despair and horror. As if she's really coming towards me out of the screen....

Wow, this is amazing and extremely creepy. And it's the subtle things that make it so; Her hair, her proportions, her lankyness mixed with the emlongation of her hands and fingers, and so much else. I just expect her body to start to contort in odd ways while barely moving at the same time. And I know it's a common thing to add to the eerieness of an image, but the fact that you cannot see her face makes it very ominous.
As for the scenery, to me it's like the promis of a storm. how everything is dark and still before the real fun begins. In such an everyday area it's like she's a drowning victim or an Irish water spirit that you could encounter aywhere there's water. The murder of crows really is the perfect 'accent' and helps set the mood.
All in all just looking at this makes me think something's gong to happen to make my jump out of my skin and teh music it brings to my mond is that of suspence and morbidity. It's so subtly creepy and almost disturbing (the hand, the hands, holy crap the hands).

Her hands halfway make me want to throw up and halfway make me want to cry. This is a good thing. This evokes so much emotion and fear, I LOVE IT. Her arms and hands are perfect, kudos to the model for that. I'm glad you weren't afraid to pose her nude because clothes would tether her to earthy limitations, wheras nude she is raw and farther from humanity.

Normally I would pass this by (not because it's not happy, but just that there wouldn't really be anything in it to catch me). But the hands. The hands. That's what drew me in and I think that's what really makes this photo. Splendid. (hope it wasn't too cold out there for her!)

I love how you managed to make such a vulnerable model so powerful and frightening. I would say more, but mysticbubblesz's critique covers it all! Your model is so surreal, and the background contributes something tragically beautiful to her.
