Ah, nostalgia! At a bit of a creative loose end this week, so tried this tribute to THE top 1980's cartoon series! Feel like I should be introducing this in a comedy Stan Lee voice... OK maybe not.Spidey, Iceman and Firestar are of course copyright of Marvel Comics

It's funny, I would never say you have a Japanese style, but something about your colors and they way you drew Firestar and Spidey reminds me of the covers to the "Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane" series. Great pic!

It's the big eyes on Spidey I think! Considering how famous and iconic the character is it's strange how difficult it is to draw a convincing Spider-Man - the pose isn't quite right (funny how you can't spot mistakes until the pic is finished, isn't it) but I'm pretty happy with this - Thanks for the feedback!

That's definately part of it. I think the colors and the way you drew Firestar are where the similiarities really start in my mind. And yeah, Spidey is a pain to get right, lol.

I was trying to capture the spirit of the cartoon without directly copying it - so I'm pleased you liked it for that reason. Firestar has always been a favourite of mine too. Maybe its nice after so many grim and angsty comics to remember a series that was just fun!
