my collaboration with for the August (yes, yes I know...) challenge continues here, and if Threadjacker thought she was angry with Vigil before, well, let's just say that they really don't get on and leave it at that! After the really dark and spooky pages from the June challenge it was quite nice to do something a little lighter here. Despite best efforts (and almost killing myself trying to finish three pages at once) I missed the deadline by a measly day! So no points again but it was a fun scene to do!Previous Page: Next Page:

Yes - I thought after some fairly harrowing scenes it would be fun to play up Vigil's sense of humour (such as it is!) here! Threadjacker made the perfect 'straight-woman' here.

In a rare case of criticism, I will say I am not too sure about your take on TJ, though.
She looks ... rather tomboy-ish. A bit too masculine

I know what you mean - possibly because she's next to Vigil and I played her 'attributes' down a little bit. Also there's a slightly lame 'joke' running here that Vigil always looks perfect and TJ is increasingly mud spattered and plain! The real reason is that these pages are a bit rushed to meet the deadline and I haven't really got a handle on TJ's look yet - but she was fun to draw and I expect they'll have a rematch one day! *laughs* Threadjacker begs to differ on that. She absolutely loved her sis.... (Truth: They fought like cats and dogs, but Galina had a lot of problems and she tends to ignore them in a rosy tinted memory of her departed sibling.)
Snrk - Yeah, TJ. This was all about stopping Vigil from doing something dangerous for everyone, and not about wanting to punch her in the face and not caring about the consequences. Keep telling that while you try to claim the high road.
