so basically the drawing is old, and now i know how to draw rose properly and absolutely prefer drawing her like she is now !!
and if u look at my newer SU art i do draw rose as she is in the show.
tbh i feel like deleting this since its soooo old and soooo inaccurate

Steven Universe is my favorite cartoon out right now its so super cute and the designs are great and the art is so wow, and and the characters are the cutests things and the music
but then there's the sad implication of steven's mommy having to give up her existence just to bring little steven into the world and that gives me heart an ache.
so yea its an amazing show and its made by the beautiful and wonderful Rebecca Sugar. go watch it.

People change the proportions and the gender of characters all the time and it makes for interesting fan art.
(personally I like when fan art keeps to the proper proportions regardless of what thous are, but I like ones like these a lot too.)

I love the style and concept. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and the look on Steven's face is priceless :3
On another note, I understand people thing it's great that people see her as an inspirational character because she's chubby, but honestly, I don't like the fandom's attitude towards others when they draw her a bit thinner (even if you didn't do it intentionally). I mean, SU isn't the first cartoon with a chubby character, yet people are treating it like it is. And even if you had done it intentionally (which I know you didn't) it's not like the creators are going to see it and go "Oh, I better change her to a skinny person".
People just need to chill .-.
So what if someone draws Steven thin or Pearl with a little more chest, you're free to do what you please in art. It's not like it'll change the canon character design if you don't do what people want you to do.
Again I know you didn't do it on purpose, but I just get so angry when people constantly complain to an artist about the size of the person in a piece of fanart. It's just so shallow.

The body is a vessel for the soul, it is what is on the inside that counts.
And it means even less for shift-shaping, multi-formed aliens, Rose could just as easily be 5-inches across instead of a 1ft. The uncomfortable feeling a lot of people get is unfounded, Rose is not DEFINED by he body type, as it should be. She is defined by her actions: she gave everything up to let Steven exist. It shouldn't matter if she's 90 pounds or 200, that should be the point, and whining about this only serves to give it less meaning.

i think you forgot like half of rose. i get that she's not pregnant in this picture, but being pregnant doesn't make your entire body as large as rose's is in the show. and now we've seen her before she had steven, and she was still big and beautiful.

I have to say its really cute. I love it and the cartoon but I would have to side with a lot of other people who enjoy the show and be the one to say....Rose quarts is too thin..i mean that dose not say that your art is not amazing! cuz omg it is X3 its just my preferences that I do not enjoy seeing her drawn thin for she is a wonderful and amazing large body character. I do enjoy this drawing though.

I honestly love Steven Universe. The art style is amazing and It is very funny and cute. It has a meaningful touch to the show, though it is supposed to be humorous on Cartoon Network. I just LOVE THIS SHOW! And I totally ship Connie and Steven <3
