This was an older how-to tutorial so I decided to update it with a fresh look and fresh screen captures! So it seems like deviants get a little confused on how to submit artwork to AnthroCommunity or groups in general. Here is a tutorial to help!

My members can't submit to my group. Why?
Make sure you have submissions ENABLED. To check this do the following:
1. Group
2. Admin area
3. Manage members
4. MembersΒ on gallery, members: Make sure you have the drop down selected to either automatically approved or are subject to vote.. ( choose how many votes and how many entries someone can submit in a given time ( day / month / year ).
Do I need to be a group member to submit to a group?
Depends! Look to see if your group accepts open submissions or if you have to be a member to submit to their group. If you try to submit to their group and aren't able and you are not JOINED in that group, then that indicates they don't have open submissions.
How do I change the group submission limitations?
Go to group -> admin area -> manage members -> members -> on gallery, members: and manage your limitations there in the drop down menu for each folder

Hey there, I am the admin of a group and I find myself going through many galleries requesting all kinds of artwork to be submitted into the group, where they then sit awaiting approval. My question is there a limit to how many pieces can be outstanding at a time? So far I haven't been shown otherwise but I also noticed half of them don't show up on my deviant watch when they are in fact accepted, I guess it's just too high volume? Sorry if this question is poorly phrased, cheers!

Groups can actually specifiy how long something can sit in their 'waiting to be approved/deny' que. So you basically would say that a piece of art would expire from the group after 1 week if no one voted on. Same goes with how many submission you can / cannot submit into a group at a single time. This can also be controlled in the groups settings

Is there a way to see how many submissions you have submitted to a group? Cause I have a group but some people don't submit THEIR artwork but suggest others. And I wanted to know is there a way to be able to see what they've "submitted"? If that makes any sense

As of right now, and that I am aware, there isn't a way to see how many deviations are in a group. The only way to see what deviation is in a group(s) is to go to that deviation and on the right hand side, look to see where the deviation is submitted to and what groups

No what I meant was, I have members in my group that I created that don't really design much. But they submit other people's work to the group. What I wanted to know was if there was a way to see who submitted what and (or) if I could see how many submissions one person has made to my group. Hopefully this is more understandable now. lol.

If you are the admin of a group then you can go to "admin area", then click on 'log'. From there you can check the log and activity of your group. It tells you what's been denied and accepted so you can see who's been submitting what to the group but as far as I am aware, it doesn't tell you what -one- person has contributed. It gives you the stats of the most active and least active members etc.

You just go to the group, click on the gallery you want to submit to and at the top right, there is an option to submit to folder ^^

That was an awsome tutorial but the groups NEVEr get back to me, its been a month.

I tried to submit an art to one of my groups, but it won't highlight in blue and instead it just shows me the art I'm submitting.

Then they might not have their gallery submissions opened. I would look at their submission guidelines

Instead of "Submit art" it says "Contribute art" is that the same thing? If not, how else can I put up my own art on a group I joined?

When you submit artwork you are submitting a piece to a particular gallery. To contribute art is different. Usually you can contribute to serveral galleries because their submission process is open to public.

you should be able to but I don't know what their submission policies are. Everyone is different

I submited a drawing to a group but I canΒ΄t submit any more, why? It says that "Submission would exceed the global limit of 1 deviation every 7 days"

That means they have a limit to how many submissions you can make to their group a week. It looks like it's 1 submission per 7 days. I would consult their submission guidelines

Thanks for helping us all. I know I need to have technology practically spoon fed to me because I'm technologically challenged XD. Your tutorial helped me, and I haven't even tried submitting my work to a group yet. Part of the reason is that I didn't know how. So thanks for this amusing and helpful tutorial. Many replies I've gotten are basically saying "too bad, I already quit." But oh well. I posted it in my journal in case anyone who watches me has been troubled with the submission process.
