Whenever I look at this, I feel so much sympathy that I have to stop myself from crying along with "the beast". And then I stop for a minute and think about people that I might have misunderstood and judged too hastily. Which is a really good thing to do. Thanks for creating this intense piece of art.

It looks like they see it as some sort of deity thing and do festivities with it, against it will to be free.
As if all these rituals seemed like friendship at first, but now he knows they will keep him for their beliefs...
And now he just want's to be free again, for he is just another being...
Being misunderstood Ծ ‸ Ծ...

Its mostly the title that changes the thing though :3
Without title, I'd think its a way of capturing some sort of beast through magics and then use it as cattle
*using young females to catch it so that it won't be very startled, plus, they tend to have more feeling for it, so he won't feel too bad getting caught :3

I'm constantly floored at these "beast" series; they are so haunting yet fascinating, utilizing various forms/designs from both spectrum of animal & plant, and blending them to create unique impressions. Not to mention there is always a modicum of soul or emotion within each. The hooded outfits with Asian stylized wave motifs is a clever touch.

As an environmental scientist, I also saw this immediately as the earth crying, and to me this was because of what many people of the human race are doing to our planet. however, I did not see the people on the sides as the ones bringing the beast to tears. this is very beautiful and very well do, I love your work!!!
