I made the model in zbrush and maya. The rendering and animation were done in maya.

That is amazing! It must have taken a while to get every detail just right. Hope you can get that 3D printer some day! =^-^=

Looks absolutely amazing. Would you have this available in one material or just painted matte so people could paint overtop of it ?

hi, it is a digital sculpture - so it could have all kinds of textures or material effects.
i could render it in marble, glass, silver or rubber...
the material of a printed version would depend on what the company that makes the 3d-prints uses.
but at the moment a 30 cm (12 inch) high print of this sculpture could cost two or three hundred dollars...

Goodness. That really IS a lot of money. The prices are quickly come down though, so I hear. Have you tried checking out [link] ? It was something someone posted to me about.
It may be worth making a smaller model first, especially to check how weighting would work in a real-life situation. I keep getting told patience is a virtue but psh! When stuff is this cool, its hard to stay calm.

hmm, i guess it will be a few more years before 3d-printing becomes a real option.
a 2 inch figurine for 12$ may be nice but it's just too small...

[link] This may also be an option? You already have a lot of followers here so they could all easily vote for your work. A few shameless advertisements and you might get a small batch made?
