Description
My version of Angel from X-men in color.Marvel really struck a chord with me on this character, I though for a moment the they had stepped outta the box with their female design.
Seriously, most of the girls in comics seem to "evolve" into the cookie-cutter standard for a bunch of anal comic geeks who can't accept change. I was actually impressed that they got a heroine that kept it real, who portrayed that not all heroines have to have rail thin bodies and boobs hanging out in a fight.
What really pissed me off was how they took it from this to Zoe Kravitz in the latest movie. Whats wrong, afraid the sales would drop because there was a thick, healthy girl doing her thing with her powers, instead you get someone that'll be every teen boys fantasy.
Anyhow, sorry for the rant. Please enjoy and feedback is always welcome.

She wasn't booted, they just changed her to the standard female comic book heroine body type and put that version in the new movie. Kinda of a sad move in my book.

yeah, like my rant said, unfortunately they gradually changed her to the standard comic heroine form. Marvel really pissed me off with that move, but she'll always be like this in my heart.

She was part of the "new" class at Xaviers' institute. She started as a black/latino, short, stock/curvy and afro puffs. In time they changed her to the "standard" superheroine style w/ midrift showin,boobs hangin out and slim/curvy figure. And in the new movie, they put Zoe Kravitz as her character! just goes to show how Marvel was goin for the dollar from the tons of hormonially charge teenage boys and manchildren.

Go figure! I've always wondered why the comic books all have those cookie cutter shaped girls. You'd think it would get boring after a while. I say through some variety in there. That is how nature is after all. Besides, I think this lady has a bangin' body! She's certainly be more intimidating than some skinny chick coming at you.

Good rant, movies are about selling to an audience, the people who read comics are far more diverse in percentages than the moviegoing populace, and the movie going populace is far bigger.

if zoe would have not taken the job because she would not have been sincere to the original character, do you think you would have thought her crazy or wrong ?

if zoe kravitz would not have taken the job of angel when it was offered to her saying SHE disagreed with the insincerity of the original character, do you think you would have called or thought her crazy or wrong? a simple question.
