GM Command Excel (Refit/Refined)

After the introduction of the GM III and subsequent high performance mass-production units late into the war, much of the older models became obsolete. Many were sold for scrap, turned into spare parts or refurbished. With some being expensive to manufacture, production was eventually stopped.

One such unit was the RGM-79G GM Command, originally designed for colony defense, and later space deployment. A variant of the original GM built on a different frame, it was expensive to produce and thus saw limited potential.

One battle-group took steps to refine and retrofit the GM Command with the latest technology and a newer frame design, tremendously improving the performance and bringing it on par against newer mass-production models.

Being a totally whole new unit, in the hands of a skilled pilot it can out-perform and out-maneuver newer mobile suits. It is also highly adaptable, making it suitable for multiple roles in offense and defense.

Fixed armament:

2x 70mm fire-linked Vulcan (mounted in head)
1x 3-slot Hand Grenade Pack (mounted on left hip armour)
2x Power Beam Saber (stored and recharged on backpack)
2x Combat Dagger (stored in racks in legs)

Sortie Equipment:

1x 90mm Bullpup GM Rifle (hand carried)
1x Shield (mounted on either forearm) - 2x spare clips stored for GM Rifle

Optional Sortie Equipment:

1x Beam Rifle (hand carried)
1x 6-tube Missile Launcher (hand carried)
