all gamers know that save points mean one or more of the following:a) you're about to enter/have reached the halfway point of a long, complex, possibly final dungeon
b) a boss battle is coming up
c) something terrible/completely plot-changing is about to happen
imagine if the RPG characters figured that out as they went along.
[i used FF9 as a medium for this because the save points in FF9 are the effing MOOGLES. "no guys, seriously. the last time we found a moogle in the middle of a random, freaky place? WAS NOT GOOD NEWS. WE ALMOST DIED. am i the only one who remembers this?!"]

FF games aren't so bad, I know in 7 you can save anywhere on the world map area so you know you're always fucked! xD I've run into some weeeeird monsters on the FFVII wordl map. O_O... But yeah, you're right, usually they mean bad news... ¬___¬
