Description
I'm probably moving this to scraps soon. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit how much time this stupid little doodle took me to make.I'm taking submissions for a caption (or perhaps a new title)
So, I'm sure everyone who's played a Zelda game has considered the absurdity of Link's inventory at some point, but Twilight Princess pushes it to new heights.
Allow me to construct a list for you.
By the time he reaches the Arbiter's Grounds, Link has the following equipment: Two shields and two swords (You'll notice you keep the Ordon sword and wooden shield, even when you get their replacement equipment), a fishing rod, a slingshot (which I forgot to draw. Maybe he DID leave that one behind when he got his Bow), an oil lantern, a very large magical boomerang, at least one glass bottle (likely full of red potion or lantern oil), at least one bomb bag (full of up to 30 bombs that are bigger than your head), huge iron boots that somehow don't weigh anything when you're not wearing them (one wonders why he'd even need them with all this stuff), A bow and considerably spacious quiver, likely a magical sniper mask, an entire change of clothing complete with helmet (I left out the helmet), probably an expanded wallet, the clawshot, and likely one or two shiny golden insects. Yeah, I know he's got those pouches on his belt for the bugs and letters and things, but most of his equipment is too big for that.
What does he find next? A HUGE mechanical top, bigger than the treasure chest you find it in, that probably weighs at least as much as him and all his equipment combined. So, yeah...
And what does he find after that!? An abnormally large flail the size of his torso!
I was rather amused the day after drawing this, as I was skimming wikipedia, to come across this old drawing from the instruction booklet for the original Zelda.

Well in Twilight Princess, it seems that Midna holds Link's stuff for him...no wonder he can carry a freakishly big spinning top

heh, He should make Midna carry everything for him.
not to be rude/disgusting, but in the game, certain things he takes out look like he's pulling them out if his rear. like the Lantern, if you watch closely, you see him reach behind when he gets it and puts it back.
it's weird...
lol:
Link: "Hey, Midna!"
Midna: *pops out of shadow* yeah?
Link: "Hold this! *hands Lantern* and this: *hands fishing rod* and how about this? *hands extra shild and sword* and probably this *hands bomb bag* oh, heck, hold all these! *hands Zora Armor, slingshot, Boomerage, hookshot, HawkMask, Iron Boots, bow and qwiver, Oocco, glowy bugs, red potion, wallet, and letters*"
Midna: *mumbles something at link, whom is still serching for stuff to hand over*
Link: "Yeah?.............O.O!!!"
Midna: *stuck under hugs pile of useless stuff*
"helfff..."
i can see that happening XD.

Actually, now that I think about it, Twilight Princess Link is probably the only one with an excuse. Midna obviously has some sort of extradimensional storage space where she keeps the fused shadows and the mirror pieces. She can probably stow away huge chunks of metal, too.

Exactly. The "Midna's Dimensional Pockets" is a good theory.

Actually, you see her store the Ordon Sword and Sheild really early in the game. Like, Reaaally early.
