Description
A sword reinforced by a powerful alternating current that relies on his semblance, Basically a conductor. Striking, cutting, and thrusting attacks are performed with the blade, with the sharpened edge and point used for lethal attacks, and the blunt edge used as a clubbing weapon. Proficient users were also able to wield the blade with such accuracy and speed that they were able to deflect bullets. It has no secondary features though the sheath on the other hand can become a semi-automatic dust rifle. The blade can be infused with dust however it needs to be sheathed regularly to infuse it.It has currently 3 states
New Moon: Silent mode = a regular sword
Half Moon: Charging mode = energy/dust saving mode. Does stronger damage than the New Moon state.
Full-Moon= Full release of plasma energy that's infused with Dust. The user can perform long range plasma attacks and increases the sword's strength and cutting power.

Quick question. If your character's semblance is electric and he mainly uses it to augment his speed and strength, then would making the blade slightly shorter compliment his fighting style better? I'm a black belt in Karate and I have underwent basic sword training. I also own a traditionally crafted sharp sword like this one. They are pretty heavy to swing around even with training and I thought maybe having a blade like a Wakizashi or a Kodachi would fit Krain better. It's your call, I thoughtmy experience would help a little bit.

I am perfectly fine with my OC's current fighting style and weapon. Delving into realism would be bland and unimaginative. If that was applied to Ruby then it would make her wield a short sword or a dual sickle to compliment her her speed semblance and not a scythe. I've already decided to devide my OC team's skills with MOBA-like fighting styles: Assault, Support And Defense. A swordsman/assassin type, A dustmancer and A healer, And a Crusader/heavy type. Realism would only limit it.

That's fine by me. By the way. If Krain can augment his physical traits with his Semblance then can he also increase his reflexes and perception?

OK this is going to be a dozy. My character Soma Twilight was approximately 50 years prior to RWBY. Soma is related to vampire bat Faunus who live incredibly long lives so his lifespan is far beyond that of regular humans. Soma was detained at a secret research facility where he was subjected to medical examination under a program called The "Oversight initiative" Or just "Project Oversight". At the time a deadly pandemic was gripping the World of Remnant and the leaders of Project Oversight were tasked with developing a cure by order of Atlas. The researchers were able to synthesize a cure thanks to the generous funding that they received from the Schnee Dust Company and other related benefactors but the intentions of the ones in charge were not as pure as they let on. It's later revealed that they were creating biological weapons in the form of living people as well as experimenting with immortality and regenerative medicine. The program had several different projects and the one that Soma was unwitting placed into was codenamed "Sigma". As is the case with most unsavory events, one of the subjects murdered all of the researcher and destroyed all the information related to the it's technology. Soma was found in an escape pod floating down a river by a couple who couldn't seem to conceive a child of their own and was adopted by them. As he became a huntsmen later in his life he discovered that he had the ability to absorb Semblance from others and eventually enrolled at one of Remnants most prestigious Academies. That the general gist of his early childhood. As for any thing else his emblem is modeled after the broken moon from the series, which is due to his traumatic childhood leaving him emotionally scared. He wears a black and red trench coat. He has a disfigured left arm that resembles a Grimm and carries around two custom made hand guns along with several other weapons. He is noted to have a ridiculous amount of aura, like jaw dropping disbelief kind of quantities.

So basically Something like d-grayman?
Also, isn't he a tad bit too powerful? I mean like Ozpin times 5 powerful. If you wanna incorporate this character in RP groups, i doubt they'd accept it. Also the armaments, you need to be more specific.

Well technically he isn't too OP. While he can theoretically obtain and wield any semblance he can only use one at a time. Additionally, in order to fully copy a persons semblance sometimes Soma needs to harmonize with someone else's aura. Due to the fact the Soma absorbs aura from people without even knowing it, he can occasionally take on personality quirks belonging to other people like Yang's puns. They do say that aura is the essence of a persons soul in the series. Also switching between different semblance and trying to utilize several at a time can strain Soma's body considerably. Even with his huge aura reserves, non stop fighting can still wear Soma out. Sometimes he isn't always able to fully control certain semblance he gets from people. As for weapons, Soma has acquired several over the course of his life but his personal favorites are his two custom built semi automatic hand cannons named Sin & Punishment and Void Pierce, a mysterious transforming sword left to him as a keepsake presumably by his real parents. Later on he acquires a large, single-edge broad sword with a dust injection system, a pair of gloves with dust embedded into the palms and a pair of tonfa with automatic guns built into them. Soma may seem a little over powered, but he does get his ass handed to him more than you may expect. When going up against enemies that he doesn't have any information on, Soma can get caught off guard which often puts him at a disadvantage. Soma is supposed to be a urban legend type of historical figure because he has been around for so long. so I thought having so much experience and knowledge fit his back story.

That is still too powerful. Your OC is technically copying a person's soul. In fact, the more i read the details of your OC, He seems to be in the line of Salem in terms with his personality and background. An alpha antagonist of sorts. His limitations and weaknesses are too little that it barely makes sens that he's even faunus or human.
He sounds to me like the kind of guy who'll manipulate people into his own advantage by copying thier semblances.
If you dont get the type of antagonist I'm talking about, try checking out Guilty crown Season 2, the antagonist's backstory and powers are somewhat similar to yours to a great extent.
Well This is just my Opinion so it may not matter to you.

You must be referring to Gai Tsutsugami. I appreciate your opinion. I did not mean to describe my OC in a way that would make him sound like a villain. I do apologize for giving you misleading details. Please understand that my character Soma was victim to several medical experiments at an early age so of course he would be very different from most other people in Remnant. Also Soma is about as far from an omnipotent being like Salem as you could possible get. During that flash back that I wrote up, your character Krain and my OC Soma ended up fighting each other. Krain was able to successfully inflict injury on Soma even with his relatively low skill level because number one, Soma did not yet know what Karins Semblance was and number two, Krain was able to bypass Somas defenses because Karain essentially uses a sword that can cut through solid matter on a molecular level. Lots of characters like Dante from Devil May Cry and Acluard from Hellsing are considered OP by many but always have some form of limit to their strength. Dante always has a limit to how much punishment he can take and how long he can physically exert himself while fighting. Acluard often ends up in a disadvantage because he lets his cocky attitude get the better of him. Keep in mind that Soma isn't like other characters in that he has already succeeded in becoming a fully fledged Huntsman and has a lot of experience. The thing is that he ends up renouncing his status as a huntsman and becomes a gunsmith. I never intended for my OC to be a villain. I always think of him like a tragic hero who has lost a lot of people very dear to him but still manages to maintain a positive outlook on life.. It is a feeling I'm very familiar with because a lot of friends and family that I know have died in the past two years including my adopted mother. He also loses his parents so there are a lot of uncanny parallels between us. I didn't mean to give you the wrong impression. Also Soma isn't really copying peoples souls exactly but rather imprinting their aura onto himself. Kind of like you might pick up a bad habit by hanging around a friend. I must say your intuition is pretty spot on. Salem does indeed have connections to Somas past but Soma never really finds out who Salem is or what she looks like. Soma spends a lot of time looking for answers as to who Salem is but but gave up after hitting multiple dead ends

In a sense yes, But only for a limited time. Normally he already has great reflexes and skill when it comes to swordfighting due to his intense training by his foster mother, Dullahana. He's still inexperienced though as he is still a student.

Do you think he would have an implant like a pace maker to help lessen the strain that his semblance put on his nervous system?
