Description
She is at the end chasing her own fading lightrunning from her shadow in the name of living
searched for worth in the lust of men
paid in blood in different beds
mistaking sex for true love
they never meant a thing
her addiction brought her a world
of coward boys and of cheater girls
looking for an easy way out of being ordinary
so she boarded their sinking ship
and crossed their red needle sea
drowning truth to live her lie
that she was ordinary
in her fading shadow.
Thanks to the models; ~enfermero , Charlotte and Tuukka.

Wow. Seems like you get even more out of my photos than it was meant to be.
(you'll be one hell of a writer one day, I swear.)
This piece was born when I experienced this myself. The anger, rage, the will to destroy that liar was unbearable. Once I was that man with a gun...

I can get pretty good at reading really far into things. Sometimes too far, I suppose. As for being "one hell of a writer one day," I'm tempted to offer up the fact that I'm published...
I'm sure most if not everyone experiences some form of that, though some more keenly than others likely. It's almost a sort of acceptance, putting that experience and emotion into a visual form to share with others.

Very cool! I like the concept of love and betrayal... 2 really strong emotional concepts played against one another. I can almost feel the gunman's anger and the sadness myself.

wow! what a narrative. i love your depth of field, and the use of pose and b/w. this more than tells a story. excellent use of familiar imagery. the rest tells itself.

I tried to express the man's anger by shaky camera. I tough I'd make it more dynamic somehow.
Thank you.

interesting conceptual piece here... i like how the man with the gun is silhouetted, it adds to the feeling of rage that he must be experiencing at the time. nicely done

The blurriness and "shake" is purposal, but of course some might find it distracting.
Thanks for your comment.

assimilated In reply to krapnek [2005-05-26 09:21:22 +0000 UTC]
Well the blurriness would be understandable if the photographer was also the person who had been cheated on, but it seems like the person with the gun is the one who has been cheated on, therefore leaving the photographer as an outside party, hence why I think the photo should be clear.

this is SO great. you know? the most important part of a deviation is one that tells a story.
we are behind this scene, but the first we notice, is the man, and then the couple. everything is here, no less, no more.
wonderful!
