Sorry if I've been away guys. I've been getting ready to leave for the States. Packing my stuff and saying my goodbyes. It's kinda funny really. Just a few months ago, I was so damn excited to leave. Now I'm freakin scared. Didn't realize how hard this is. I mean I knew it was going to be difficult but I didn't realize how heart-wrenching this would feel.
Maybe because, most of my family and friends lives here in the Philippines. Maybe because I grew up here and have gotten used to it. I guess this is normal. Leaving everything that I've ever known and loved to a place I'm not familiar with. Though I was born in the states, I spent most of my life here in the Philippines.
I'm really going to miss it... and this DAMN SONG ISN'T REALLY HELPING! *brother is playing Nickelback - Photograph* Oh well I might meet some fine bronies there. I heard MLP is pretty popular over there.
I could stay... but I will never grow as a person if I stay here. I need to find my own way in life and I can't do that here. I want to make a name for myself! I guess the most important decisions are always the hardest ones to make. After all, I'm heading to the US to find a new career and a new direction for myself.
I took a trip down memory lane when I walked around to the neighborhood I grew up in one last time. Looking at the old house my family lived in, brought a tear to my eye. Every memory came rushing back to me. The good and the bad. I also took the time to spend time with my brothers and friends for a little Halo Reach! It was awesome! I'm really going to miss that! My dad also gave some good old fatherly advice. Wish we did that a long time ago. How come the only time you realize what you missed and what you have is when you're going to leave it? Stupid emotions!
Well its not like I'm not going to see them again. Its just that I won't be seeing them for a LOOOONG time. I'm not a very chatty person online and I'm usually distracted by work mostly. I hope to change that when I'm there. (I'll also still be in DA from time to time)
I have no idea why I wrote this now. Maybe because I wanted to get my thoughts out. It's been really bugging me. I had one hell of a ride. And its just going to get better! I just want to thank all my family and friends who supported me and molded me to the person I've become. I promise not disappoint them.
Now I'm about to embark on a new adventure in life.
I have no idea where life is taking me, but I'm ready to face it head on.

Heading to the US of A, huh? Well, I will officially say: Welcome! Usually I'd say something sarcastic about the state of the States, but seeing as how I'm also moving away from family (heading off for college), I'll just empathise.

Wow, talk about deja vu.
Actually just moved to Washington from Manila last month. Nice to see you settling here as well.
Still, to think you're just going on your own, calling it hard would be an understatement. Some advice I learned from my folks: if ever you feel down or lonely, don't hesitate to let it out, you'll get used to it better that way. But don't let it get the hold of you either, you can do this! Always believe yourself, know your friends from your -true- friends, work your best, foster connections, and you're bound to make it okay!
Anyways, welcome to the US of A, Kreoss! Hope you enjoy your stay and GOOD LUCK!

I saw the San Jose part. The traffic can get a little crazy up there, but I think being in the silicon valley is a good choice to help achieve that game design goal. What's cool about the bay area is that there's a lot you can do up there, and places like San Francisco and Monterey aren't too far away either.
If you do Facebook, there's a Northern California Bronies page, [link] but I don't know how organized it is. I know Bronies of Central California actually sets up little get-togethers.

As much as I LOVE MLP, I really heading to the US because I've always wanted to try out in Game Designing. It's something I've always wanted to do but we don't have that here in the Philippines. Oh and to get my Master's Degree.

That's why I'm hoping your US friends there should vote for Mitt Romney. What choice do we have when Obama is not doing so well, I've watched many Donald Trump videos, what he said in the business perspective is true when architectures are outdated, military been used by other nations FOR FREE, China stealing the jobs, etc.. So far, I'm not stopping you, but do take care, because you should be careful of taxes.
Oh, games, huh? Well, I remember you used to provide a concept screenshot of the MLP human game too. As for trying to get into one, you should start out small and see if you can work your way up, who knows you'll go into Valve or Blizzard, those places will have big futures, BUT definitely NOT EA, you'll be stressed out pretty bad when their execs only want money and tell you to create a "high quality" game in less than a year.
Overall, I know some stuff over there, but we'll see what happens. Hopefully you go into the mobile app industry instead, it's better than the PC & Console gaming because I fear they're in a state of decline when smartphones and tablets are taking over (But not completely). Good luck out there! Hope you have a smart device to accompany in your long flight.

...just because I'm here in the states, I would recommend not listening too much into what Donald Trump has to say - he's pretty darn rich and all of the rich guys stick together to STAY rich, which doesn't bode well for us little guys. >_<; The American system is pretty corrupt, but it's the guys in power doing most of it unfortunately. You're definitely right about watching taxes! ^_^;

Despite he's my idol in business, but I only take which one he says are right and don't take those which he said are not always right (when no facts are attached, just like the birth cert "investigators"). What he always say is based on common sense and I know he hates losing. Do not worry, I'm no huge fanatic of him, and another example which I hate is his anti-wind comment, he said "I am the evidence and a world-class expert in tourism" but he didn't show any scientific stuff to present why wind is bad, when there's nothing, I can see why people hate him and so do I on this part, this is just like you come for a presentation but you have nothing in your hand to present to your boss.
If you say doesn't bode well it's because Obama wants to create a class war. Romney wants to bring the poor up to their former middle class rank, but when jobs going overseas, the poor will get stuck that way. Oil prices wise, he'll have to take it to the source, which is OPEC, oil companies charge high because OPEC charge high, what to do? The system is corrupted, well, I can't comment on that, but what I can tell is, Obama is still not doing a good job, Trump know he is best at getting elected and raising funds, that's the only best things he can do. I've been keeping up with the news, Obama is mostly all talk no action. As for him saying yes to gay marriage, he did this to give chances when Romney says NO so he says YES in order to woo gay voters, one door close and the other open, that's the loophole he wants to do that in order to attract the gay voters.

MillyT In reply to BB-K [2012-05-17 12:46:07 +0000 UTC]
Romney doesn't care about the middle-class, for all it matters to him, they can stay middle class, because they're the ones paying all the taxes. (Well, maybe then he DOES want more middle class so there will be more people footing the bills he himself is not paying!) Did you see the percentage of taxes he pays in comparison to middle class people or even Obama himself? You should look it up sometime. I'm a middle-class person in the states myself, but most people I work with are much lower and they're suffering because of the taxes.
As for the oil thing...I think Obama's hands have been tied on the subject since almost day one...especially after the big oil spill a few years back. If the prices on gas have risen it's only because he'd like to see more fuel efficient vehicles and modes of transportation - like trains. America is far too dependent upon fuel consumption, big cars, trucks to take everything around. I live near a train and I'd love to see more of them around, it would be nice not to HAVE to drive everywhere, but we Americans are so spread out we have to.
I agree on the air thing too though - there's an area in Indiana that is all farm land and very windy - and the windmills are beautiful! They're quiet and mesmerizing. I wish they'd put some up in my neighborhood too because it would be so much more efficient and they don't take up any more space than a cellphone tower which we have plenty of. I'm glad you disagree with Trump on that point - actually I think people would travel to see wind turbines - I certainly do!

We don't have anymore choices if those 2 are imperfect. Then what should we do and who to win? Bring Reagan back from the dead? And I don't think Trump is gonna run either unless if Obama wins a 2nd term, he'll run. But here's the thing about taxes, there are people don't want to pay the taxes is to avoid wastage, look what happened to one of the Facebook founders, he discard his citizenship in order to avoid the huge taxes. Even if you pay them, where will those money go? Trump said in common sense that it'll mostly be invested overseas, mostly in the Middle East & second to South Korea.
The oil we have are plentiful inside American soil but the environmentalists and such nonsense almost don't care about how the jobs among themselves are so messed up, can't they ever sacrifice themselves a bit for the sake of getting the economy going again?
As for the wind turbine, I find them nice as well, but when he said it's noisy, sure the whole thing is quiet, but the decibel levels don't lie, that's why we have to ask people who hates windmills and say, how bad can wind noise be? Does it like burst your ear drums if you keep on hearing them everyday until you're forced to move out of your current house for a new one that doesn't have a wind mill nearby?
