This is fun.

I enjoyed the trial version of Groboto. Of course it no longer works. I shan"t buy it though.

Roger do try to rest.

Thank you! I will try to create pictures like this in combination with ultrafractal and PS when I get some more skill. I don't think I would recommend buying Groboto either unless the money wasn't an issue. Making anything properly structured with it seems difficult and just creating random messes of pre-defined shapes isn't really what one could call 'art'. Fun though, as you say

I downloaded the free version of Bryce today.
I took a look at it and I think it needs a bit of studying before I can get an image out of it.

Groboto makes sci-fi scenes nicely but not arty ones.

Bryce is a good program - not as nice as free Vue but without the watermarking - but as you say takes some time to learn to use. Making so-called bryce abstracts (with reflective spheres and other objects) is simple and fun and tutorials are out there. Making realistic scenes takes real skill and patience which I don't have time to develop. Rendering also takes a while. But you have time to learn

I don't really want to make countryside scenes. I fancy trying the spheres and torus rings that many people use.
I'll look for tutorials. I need them.
