Thanks! It's organised chaos though, an axis of symmetry runs from the top right corner diagonally down to the left, which it would have to, really, if it were going to run diagonally anywhere from the top right corner in this image. Or perhaps it's running up from below, of course, in which case it has more options.

You're most kind... it's just how the fractal is though, I didn't use mapping in the programme or use any other programme to make it symmetrical. I 'Julia switched' a 'ducky-type' fractal... you know how it goes... : D

All of my fractals end up meh at best. Apo doesn't like me.

Apo is tricky... Ultrafractal is payware but in my opinion is the best fractal software out there. It is relatively easy to get decent results and there are many tutorials and resources for it. If you practice enough and have talent the results can be amazing, e.g. check out this lady's gallery... beautifulchaos1.deviantart.com… .
I think there's a downloadable demo for it... and Christmas is coming : )
