Sevantice (Sev) Prince and his twin, Tav (Octavian or Octavia, no one's really sure on Tav's original gender anymore). Tav is actually the older one here.

Alrighty, well, Sev and Tav were left for dead by their 'family' because twins are an abomination in their world, but so is taking a child's life. So they were left to slowly die. They were taken in and raised by Siraka Blackmoore-Brigand alongside Rem and Emmett Silversoul.

As a child, Tav was cursed by a witch he wronged (completely on accident) and was cursed to change genders randomly during his sleep. HE could be male for a week, take a nap, wake up female. Or, he could be female for years, sleep a night and wake up male. As a result (and a couple hundred years) no one is sure of Tav's real gender. It helps that to rule one must be male, so they just go with he started male.

Sev was a terribly sickly child. He would vomit blood and have seizures all the time and go into small comas on a regular basis. He eventually grew out of it, but to this day no one quite knows what exactly happened there.

As they grew (and found their original family) they became quite famous for their achievements in furthering magical studies. Sev focused on Alchemical studies and Tav on Magecraft. Together they were quite the force to be reconed with, well, if they cared. After their former 'family' died out due to wars and in-fighting Tav was put on the throne. Sev became the Royal Adviser, but everyone eventually learned that one's word was as law as the other.

Fun facts:

Because of Tav's uber-fun curse, Sev has a lot of practice crossdressing to keep from making Tav feel left out. Sev now does it occasionally for fun.

Sev wears gloves and goggles because his hands are stained badly and to protect his eyes from fumes.

Tav has a lot of difficulty making/desiging clothes that look good on him whatever gender he's in.

Tav has learned to change his gender at will, but it comes with the price of extreme lethargy for about 48 hours.

Sev and Tav (as twins) share a soul. (That's part of the reason that twins are seen as abominations) Consequently, they can't be seperated for large distances or times.

Sev is married to a siren Shimane and has a daughter, Shishinoke.

Tav is currently in a 3 way relationship with a man/deity named Terra and a human mage called Wojownik.
