Uhm have you ever taken a government class. We've always been a democracy, and were meant to start out that way because it's supposed to be we the people. The people are SUPPOSED to be who decides. But that's all kind of went down the drain. Basically what the cartoon says.

although it made me laugh, this comic clearly shows the sickness that has gripped everyone since... forever, that a woman's worth is not in her mental abilities, probably not skills or achievements, but in her body.

The reason this will never work is because we are all armed and can enforce the constitution. That's why we have the second amendment.

The 2nd amendment won't keep you safe in a place not governed by the constitution.
That's why a delegate can't take over a democracy without a paramilitary force. You have guns? they have more. You have people? They have more. You have ammo? Not anymore.

Yes it will. We have guns. They can try and take them if they want, but they're going to meet resistance. We are still governed by the constitution and have three branches government however, so why are we even talking about it?
The history of our country is Democracy - we're the only ones who can say that. Americans have been believing in the idea of freedom of the people since we became an independent nation - that idea is a powerful one. That's the difference. You can't just make a paramilitary force out of Americans who have been raised to believe in freedom of the people. I've known a few who were in the military and they took great pride in their duty - they were not the sort of people would turn around and destroy everything they stand for. It goes against everything we were taught growing up.
Besides which, their own families will be part of that resistance. Being in the military doesn't make a person into a heartless robot - many of them will stand down rather than destroy their families. If the government tried to send the military after the people, half of them would desert.

those who rebel will be called terrorists and hunted down... fool. And most likelly it will be like in spain in 1932-33, that most arms where on the hands fascists who hunted down the possible arisal, and even when all the people rebelled and were given arms, they could not stand the assault of the professional soldiers why discipline and way better equipment.
You've got votes and education to figth fascism, guns will be useless.
