That's the only sign language I know. This comic does not promote discrimination of deaf people
It does, however, encourage the execution of a proper left hook

Cynical humor again is just awesome. And I learned from this as well. For the longest time I've had problems with that left hook. Thank you.

An amusing comic. I find the way the 'figure wearing the green shirt' acts (and probably thinks) very disturbing.
I wonder...why do people cram pages of comments full of text which has absolutely no meaning as to give an opinion of the Deviation that is the actual subject? Why don't people do this on a chat? ...But saying this was probably just as meaningless as the thing I'm complaining about (in my opinion).

More importantly, why do people act like arrogant pricks over comics? : D
Thank you, and goodnight.

I think he's referring to the people that get offended by Krisβs work and feel that they have to yell at everybody that liked this comic of his. I found that several people did this yesterday when Kris first submitted this comic. I also believe that any one that is offended by this comic needs a lesion in a proper left hook as stated in my original comment.

Cool, I take it you're hearing impaired as well? I dislike using the word 'deaf' as it relate to retard to me.

Sucks... To have hearing and then suddenly don't. I was born like it, nothing to do with my genetics.
But I don't belong to the deaf world neither the hearing world - I'm one of the few outcast. Ever feel like that or the deaf-freaks welcome you? Ye, I'm against deaf club-faggots who once told me I couldn't join in because I can't sign... Jealous of my perfect speach more like.

Haha. I had a best mate once, she didn't know I was deaf until I got fed up with my hair down and put it up, that was after a year or so knowing her. It's flattering but at same time, if we can fool so many people - then you get the cheap ones, who once dicovered it, start talking louder and retardedly - Ho-ow ar-re yo-ou? So I just stare at them and say 'So, you're having a brain fit moment or something? You sound like a retard.' And smile sweetly.

yeah I know that one all too well to I was able to make it through most of high school without anyone knowing except for 4 other girls but some new kid that was ashamed of his hearing showed up, I tried to help him out, and in the posses got myself landed in a special ed class because of it. I fucking hated my senior year of high school I couldn't do anything without some stupid bitch following me around so she can translate for me..... When my husband found out he started to speak like that thinking it would help but I slapped him after a few minutes; It's like if we could understand you before you found out than why would that change now?! My parents on the other hand are complete ass holes about it all my dad constantly makes fun and my mother acts as though she could catch it as if it was some kind of illness and constantly yells at me for stupid stuff like my 12 year old brother not letting the dogs out.
I find it funny when people that know I'm deaf see me with a cell phone They're not completely useless to us right? We can read the TXTs we get and still sent pictures. It also makes me want to punch then too for being ignorant.

Wicked-Truth In reply to BrokensKiss [2007-12-15 10:19:46 +0000 UTC]
Haha, yea, my dad used to cover his lips to stop me from lip-reading... I hate him for that. I needed him by my side and he thought he was helping me out by 'training' me not to lip read but I need it more then anything. My mother was annoyingly protective and never let me talk to people myself as she fears they won't understand me or that I cannot understand them. My independant does not exist around my mother. Only a few weeks ago I got pissed off, cos it was MY horse trailer, MY problem and its MY job to talk to the person who can fix it and as I was about to, my mother jumped in so I snapped and told her to shut the fuck up and that it's MY trailer. Well it got her to shut up for 15mins then she took over. God.... Parents, and I'm older then you.

I know what you mean parents of deaf people tend to be ether overly protective or just reject its never inbetween unless the parents are deaf too... Just a couple more months and I won't have to deal with the parent problem Soon my husband and I will have enough to get a house. Not that my fokes now that we act like were stupid broke kids that way we don't have to pay rent

...I don't know what to think about this one. Not that I find it insulting or anything - I mean, I really think that some people think the way as punchy McGee does, which is sad but true, and hence, funny, but I feel bad for the deaf stick figure being punched in the face due to culture clash!! And so, a laugh remains stifled in my throat as I come to terms with my feelings about this comic *nod nod*

When you were asking for good translaters for your comics, I said I would like to see you try and make one with sign language xD
