Ooh, that couldn't have been fun ! My shoes all have really thick soles so that isn't as much of a problem, but I'm starting to wear 'em thinner and thinner so who knows . I actually find it kind of entertaining to try and get a tack out of my shoe... that and little rocks and stuff that get caught in the tread . Getting them out was never a really big problem for me, but when I'd first notice the difference in the sounds of my footsteps, I'd get all preoccupied with thinking about it . Sometimes it was fun, but usually I'd notice it when it wasn't a very good time for me to get distracted . Maybe that's just me .

heh, no fun at all, yeah, i likke pulling them out, its amusing, sitting on the floor fighting with my shoe. and the little 'click, click, click' amuses me greatly so yeah, your not the only weird one

I know what you mean ! I don't really have any fingernails to speak of, so it'd always be just a tad more difficult for me to get 'em outta there... which I think made it even more interesting . It was as though I had been issued a challenge ! Sometimes I'd sit there in class and use it to make those little tapping noises absent mindedly... it was one of those things that certain people would get really irritated over, but since it was such a minute disturbance, no one would actually say anything and I could just keep doing it .

hehe, i tap my foot when i have tacks in my shoes and make the tapping really loud to annoy the crap outta everyone, tis very fun.

That's cool ! I don't even have a legit excuse for having my nails this short... I just pick at them all the time . Nervous habit maybe ? Yeah, I'll go with that . Last year I took French (never again ) and the teacher was really uptight, so every once in a while I'd make this one little really high-pitched noise (I've yet to meet another person who can make this sound), and no one could ever tell where it was coming from . For a while there it was kind of hilarious... but I had to be careful not to mess with this particular teacher when she was in a foul mood, or she'd take it out on the whole class !

nice, nah, my talons have always been like this, ive got long fingers and long nailbeds, plus they're really strong and dont snap.
oh, poor you! i took frence (learning chinese now) and we just lol'd in the lesson at the teacher and stuff! it was very boring tho. oh and how loud can you go? i can make this highpitched squeal sound, i stand next to people and scare them by just randomly squeaking
