Well, I started playing Blue last night, and I love it so far. I got two badges, and my team consists of Tank the Wartortle, Lancer the Fearow, Buffy the Jigglypuff and Sammy the Sandslash.
I'm thinking of doing the Mew trick.
Well, Omastar looks a bit dumb to me, so I prefer Kabutops. But my favorite Gen I fossil is Aerodactyl. So OLD AMBER FTW! XD

Well, I love al three Kanto starters, but since I hadn't used a Squirtle for a while...
Well, I did it! I had a hard time trying to hit start before the trainer saw me, but eventually Mira (from Mirage) the Mew joined the team.
Before that, Zipzap the Eevee (a Jolteon in the making) and Kickass the Hitmonlee had joined the team.
Oh, and I'm at four badges now XD
What makes you not wanting a hug from Kabutops?

I've considered the advantages and disadvantages of hugging a Kabutops and I'm afraid I decided to let this opportunity pass.

Aaanyways, I got to Cinnabar Island, and did what every kid does when they reach Cinnabar for the first time: fly to Viridian!
And then I caught an L-shaped Tetris block (which I named Tetris, of course) and a level 132 Mewtwo, who will stay in the box forever, since it's broken like hell. And then I started doing something I never even dream of doing: beat Mewtwos for experience.
And then I duplicated every single TM I had.
ZIPZAP CAT? That's an awesome name for a Raikou! Congrats to the one who thought it! But no, the name Zipzap comes from some tiny RC Cars, that are extremely fast, like a Jolteon.
Then I guess Scyther won't get a hug either...

Yes, I got it for my 8th birthday. And last year, my boyfriend bought a Blue catridge from a friend who didn't know how much it's worth nowadays. xD
So much glitchy fun! :'D Back in the day, I was a bit jealous of the kids who had Red/Blue because the Missingno glitch doesn't exist in Yellow, but on the other hand, I had all 3 starters and they didn't. :V
It's seriously great, I would have traded my unnamed Raikou for it in a heartbeat.
At least Scyther can still evolve into something without scythes. xD

Well, I just won the League in Blue. Though I was a bit underleveled (my highest level was 49), I easily plowed through the elite 4, and when I faced my rival, I one-or-two-hit-KOed his Pokemon, with Tank, now a level 50 Blastoise, taking a Mega Drain from my rival's level 65 Venusaur like a boss, and then proceeding to freeze it with Ice Beam, ultimately winning the fight. So, my Hall of Fame team was:
Tank, lv50 Blastoise
Sammy, lv50 Sandslash
Lancer, lv50 Fearow
Zipzap, lv50 Jolteon
Kickass, lv49 Hitmonlee
Buffy, lv48 Jigglypuff
Well, I think I'd keep AC/DC, my Raikou from Leafgreen...
Still, it'll have pincers...

Haha yes, you can totally go in underleveled in those old games. The E4 PokΓ©mon have spectacularly bad movesets and the AI does very, very dumb things. Like if you put a Poison type against Dragonite, it will only use Agility and Barrier because they are Psychic type moves.
