But she was right, no matter how hard he tried, his pincers weren't tightening any closer around the Psychic type's neck who was countering Zuse's physical force with his telekinetic powers. And he didn't seem noticably tired yet.
He'd break free and be able to attack right away. Zuse couldn't endure another Psychic. It was time for a change of strategy.
A pulse of energy darted through his feet into the ground, quickly distributing outwards, resonating in the concrete walls of the arena.
He let go of his opponent, the old Alakazam flung him to the ground and fell on his knees again. Was he more worn out than it had seemed?
He wasn't going to get away. But neither was Zuse.
The Rock Slide came rushing in.

I had many gesture drawings of a much more interesting pose for Zuse and Wizard, but as soon as I sat in front of the empty Photoshop canvas I knew I couldn't pull it off. So have another attempt at foreshortening. And Wizard's hat was totally snatched off in the heat of the battle, not because it would have made that section of the image too cluttered. ;w;
I love me some Rock Slide on my Pinsirs. Looks like this one would have been better off with Earthquake, though. Because, y'know, can't hit himself super effectively with that.
I'll ... just leave this here and go do more art.

(Like, I redrew all the cracks in the 2nd panel by hand because the brushes I had used didn't fit the style perfectly.) Now you just do the same, and we can be equally scared again.
