DAILY TRANSFORMER #4 - Wednesday, September 10 2008"Megatron" from the Transformers: Robots in Disguise series.
This was originally from the Japanese "Car Robots" line and he was called "Gigatron". This was eventually recoloured from black and purple, to white and black and renamed "Galvatron" (Devil Gigatron in Japan). An awesome six (and then ten) changer. Dude, he turned into a giant FIST, yo!

I loved the part where he raises his mobile base to fight Fortress Maximus. Then turns into his hand mode to connect to his base so can punch him. XD

technically xD I set one up a long time ago, never used it (literally was just my name there) and I honestly can not remember what the screen name was (or the password for that matter) and it immediately filled my inbox with friend requests from obviously fake accounts, lol (that were deleted by the next day xD )
I should either track that thing down or set up a new one at some point. Are your blogs set for "private" or can even non-user read them? I like me some toys xD

i thought it wasn't a very good toy when i first saw it. Then, a friend bought one and I fooled around with its modes for a while and then I HAD to have one IMMEDIATELY :-P

I have the Galvatron figure, and it really proves there's such a thing as too many alternate modes. Some of them were really out there or redundant. (Two dragons? A "lynx" AND a "mammoth"?) but his two-headed dragon and fist modes were brilliance.

don't think i ever did, but i should try and find em both (galvatron i know where that is, but the megatron version is in a box SOMEWHERE in the house) and give that a whirl some time :-P

i think this is my favorite megatron toy. some of the modes looked goofy, but it's the only one i've got that has so many transformations. plus he looks killer as a robot and the hand mode is the best mode any transformer has ever had. ever. period.

Since I started watching Car Robots I've decided that RiD did not do this character justice. He felt significantly lessmenacing in English.

yeah, a much more scarier and CRAZIER character (they pushed his multiple personality more in the japanese version, if I remember correctly)

Different voices and mennerisms in certain different modes. It never feels, to me, like he has multiple personalities as those are usually dissociative with eachother, psychologically....but he certainly IS nutty.

Any chance you'll do Super Fire Convoy (and if you, and he gets the vote for colours, you'll need to do one in TV colours, one in Black Fire Convoy colours and one in Universe toy colours

I eventually want to get to all those, got em all sitting in a box just waiting to be used as references :-P And yeah, I'd have to do the repaints too :-P
JRX is amazing, I'm afraid I'll break it one day I combine the damn thing so much :-P

Oh, man, the little pegs and clickers system used to hold JRX make me fearful I'll break him one day too. But, still, he's too cool to not play with. He's simply the best robot I own. Well, okay, I actually dunno who the best one I own is, but he's certainly the best Gestalt AND the best set of Train robots outside the Brave shows, and, even there, he's hard to beat.
The most ANNOYING transformer I own is Speedbreaker (or "SideBurn in RiD...but I can't take him seriously and keep picturing him with big mutton chops and elvis hair under that moniker). He was the first transformer I had to look at instructions for and he's still the most fiddly I own. I will, however, say I've only transformed ONE Alternator design and he is complex but not annoying and fiddly.

yeah sideburn gave me TONS of problems transforming. I had problems with some Alts (Tracks specifically, was SO stiff could barely transform him, i have 2 friends that have the same problem with their tracks, but I think it was an error in construction because the Ravage and Swerve remolds were problem-less), but never as bad as Sideburn.
