I have been working on this for quite sometime. I work for a paint company and I am in the process of rebuilding their website. This is one of the graphics I have been working on. Total time spent was roughly 60 hours.There are 720 blocks of individual color. These colors represent the fant deck I use to mix paint colors. I sat down and added each individual block and spent a good week doing it.
I wanted to put it up because I thought it was really crazy to look at.

what kind of paints do they make? if its artists oils it would be brilliant to see this done with the original oils.

Actually they manufacture house paint and industrial paints.. Its the Davis Paint Company in Kansas City.. Too bad they dont do oils because you are right, it would be awesome to see!

It still might look good. I have several hand painted cards from the likes of Reeves. windsor & newton, Georgian oils paint companies. and they do look good, but not as artistically presented as your swatch. you usually have to buy them about $30 I think but I was lucky to get them for free. I blagged it as I was doing a university project in colour theory and art therepy. (its amazing the stuff you can get by blagging it)
