Description
The Postman butterfly (Heliconius melpomene) is found mostly in South American, but I got a chance to see them at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden preserve. Several specials in that genus and family "Longwings" have similar markings and can be difficult to distinguish. These little cuties were very brave and friendly. They never ran away from my big lens and they kept fluttering towards me.I took this shot with my awesome new 60mm f/2.8G macro lens. I hope you like it.
