Just a commision drawing I made forHe asked me to make a drawing of sylux and samus facing each other, so here it is, I decided to put on practice some armor texture skill.
I really hope to see something like this on the next metroid game..........., you'll see, one day I'll be working on the development of one.
Anyways, enjoy.

Maybe I'm just expecting Metroid to crash and burn again after getting back on its' feet because of the way the Sonic franchise is floundering...AGAIN.

I agree, but the Wii U only lasted 5 years.Β They could of made it for the Wii, but we got Other M instead, and look how that turned out.

He survived a hit from Gorea, he should be fine. Besides, he constantly has his ship waiting nearby for a speedy getaway.
Other M was a disappointment, but there was still a lot of really fun action. Especially the Ninja Gaiden type finishing moves (although the necessity of using them sometimes could get annoying). I choose to see that Ridley scene as a flashback from the original Metroid, where that happening would have made a shitton of sense.
It WAS a good game, it just didnβt wasnβt Metroid good. But hey, if mercurysteam, the company that butchered Castlevania and defacted on its corpse could make a good remake of Metroid II, Iβm sure there wonβt be any more mistakes for a while. I mean,Β who could possibly bear the shame of doing worse than the company that ruined the other side of the Metroidvania games?Β
Also, MB was cool, and I defy you to tell me otherwise. Also the Feds took her body, so itβs entirely possible that she can make a return.

Who is Sylux? I know he's another bounty hunter. Was he in the Metroid Prime series? I never played those games because I don't know what system the series was compatible with...

Sylux is a Bounty Hunter that debuted in Metroid Prime: Hunters for the Nintendo DS. Little is known about his backstory other than he has an intense hatred of the Galactic Federation, and Samus by extension as she often works for them. His weapon and armor are experimental prototypes that were stolen from a GF research facility.

Heβs also been stalking Samus for some time now, as indicated by his shipβs appearance at the end of Prime 3, and it seems like he makes a habit of stealing from the Federation as well.

Hmm. I have a feeling... Not a good one either... In that remake of Samus Returns, there is a secret file picture that appears when you get all the energy packs, missles, super missles, and power bombs. That image scares me. It has an image of a Chozo that seems to have overthrown their leader or something similar. I think that this Sylux and that enigmatic Chozo could be possibly linked. Someone even pointed out that the said Chozo's arm cannon looked similar to Sylux's. To my knowledge, the Chozo and the Federation knew each other from the manga of Samus's origins. Both are wanting galactic peace. Given what we're told, the Chozo were wiped out by the X, Metroids, Space Pirates, or other causes. I personally believe not all of them are gone. I have a theory... What if there was a Chozo who had objections toward the ideas of the Federation or toward the ideas of the Chozo? What if there was a survivor among the Chozo despite all of the galactic atrocities? What if that Chozo decided to steal from the Federation a suit that only an intelligent Chozo or a trained Chozo soldier could wear to achieve their personal gain? What if that Chozo knew about Samus and would decide to secretly observe her to see if his people chose the correct galactic warrior or observe her only to see that she was another mistake that his people have made in high hopes of dreaming to protect the galaxy. You already figured it out by now, right? I believe that mysterious Chozo is Sylux. A Chozo that survived his people's demise and established another plan to ensure peace to the galaxy while observing the warrior his people have already chosen to possibly see if he can use Samus to further his plan or to monitor her so that she will not interfere with his plans.

Tanabe (producer of the Prime series) says he wants to bring Sylux back for a future installment, so let's hope Sylux does indeed return!

I hope that all Hunters return. The issue with the campaign of MPH was that there was no dialogue and no dimension to the Hunters. There was more of a story in multiplayer.Β

Ah, true. I hope the same thing happens with Metroid Prime upon announcement. We were confused, and even angered that it was going to be a "first person shooter" but what we got was something beyond epic :3
