Description
Turns out, when you can't seem to draw a body all too well at any given moment, random tentacles or other junk coming out of the neck-stump works just fine in a pinch. Her name is Sophie.
// Medium: Touch markers on watercolour paper.

Creepy but awesome
Your colour choices are incredible. Just out of curiosity, why Sophie?

I kinda go blindly with colours, but I'm 84% of the time pleased with what comes out. Thank you!
As for naming, uhm. I felt a warm, parental sort of care towards her concept/design and decided she needed a name. I stared at her for about 5 minutes and tried to fit a number of them to her like puzzle pieces, and 'Sophie' clicked nicely. If that makes sense?

Sounds like it just comes naturally to you, impressive. You're welcome!
It does make sense and Sophie is a nice name. I have a cousin called Sophie, fortunately she doesn't have a tentacle coming out of her neck though XD.
By the way, what kind of paper are you using? I've never seen those rough bumps on paper before.

Thank you! :'0 Again!
Aha, that's a good thing, I imagine having a tentacle instead of a relatively normal functional bod' would be a little awkward at family gatherings. xD
It's watercolour paper, the bumps are there to collect and hold the paint, it's thicker than normal paper so it doesn't flex and bend as much when you apply wet mediums to it. This one is a "cold press", it's a bit rougher in texture, where as a "hot press" paper would still be textured, but much smoother (and much more expensive =w='). I'm a bit unconventional and like using it for all kinds of mediums, but I wouldn't recommend it for markers, at least not for big pieces, 'cause it's very absorbent and will suck the ink right outta your marker. Sophie is a really small little drawing though, about 5 x 4 inches? And I like the texture it gives so I just use it anyway, oops.

You're welcome! Again!
I agree...but now that I think about it I could definitely hang with a floating tentacle head XD
Ah I see. I like that your technique is somewhat unconventional, I feel it gives your art character. Thanks for this new knowledge on watercolour paper. I'll have to try to get my hands on some one day.
