In SMILES universe wishes can become true but only once, Sans wished to be happy but it backfired on him greatly.
The transformation on his face was agonizing, but when he was in pain he wasn't crying or screaming in pain.. he was laughing... all he can do is laugh, can't talk or just anything... other than just laugh the everlasting agony away...
