There is something that lurks in the canals of our city.
It is ever patient.
We have never seen it up close, but sometimes it announces itself in the form of a massive circular bite mark on a boat or pier
It is always hungry.
The state assures us that it does not exist.
It is where you do not look.
I've seen it, once. It was a flash of silver in the water, as long as our fishing boat.
It knows your fear.
The media won't tell you, but ask my neighbors. It snatched a worker from a barge right before their eyes.
It strikes!

We've got bits of lamprey, eel, clawed somethig-or-other, human, and frog in here. See if you can find them all, and maybe more. I am considering adding some bioluminescence. What do you guys think?
