An idea me& made when we've encountered a full-grown Treeguard while we were cutting down trees near it. XDYou can't blame first-timers. :T And due to a state of panic, we accidentally DROPPED pine cones infront of it, instead of PLANTING, that's one of the ways to pacify a Treeguard, just plant infront of it.
And no, Treeguards do not reduce your sanity level, it's just a thought from both me& my best friend. xD
Although we did manage to burn it using campfire.. but it takes a long while for it to die. :I

I think to fight with this monster treee it's the best when you're playing Woody. Turn him into a beaver and fight with tree near to normal trees, when you're seriously injured/out of wood, eat some wood and run away from tree monster a bit and then continue fighting

Although if the player is patient enough, you can kill it with fire.

I effingΒ hate those bastards. They're like, everywhere. I've been chased by two once and believe me oh God it's just joyous. I manage to find them every time I play unless I modified my world and always got killed by them D:

Always take notice that even mother nature can kick some serious ass. :I The only notable thing about them is that they don't have a stump& a swaying animation like most trees. :'D But the monster I hate the most are the hounds, they are extremely aggressive& will chase you around the map. X_X;; Luckily, I found a few Tallbirds and managed to make them fight each other. :'D
