not necessarily, with c4d render, I think you can get the same result or nearly

it was just for used vray

I've dabbled, but I hear Vray is the thing for that sort of effect, C4D doesn't come quite that close to what magic it can produce.

yes, it's true Vray is a great render but not very easy to have a great piece
