Small History:
Quilo refers to the North Wind in Roman mythology. North winds in most places in a sign that seasons are changing. And that winter is upon half the wold.
Quilo was given the name when he was very little....because the day he was born, terrible winds hit the area. Bringing forth cold strong winds, heavy snow...and what the owners saw as distruction. Because the next morning, half the stable and city was destroyed, collapsed by snow. Hundreds soon fell ill, and added to the tons of people that passed. Including his mother, who had a troubled birth, and soon passed when the fluffy pale foal was born.
Grif hit the family, as did it hit many others. So the family blames the small foal that was now being cared for by a mare that lost her foal a few days earlier. He was named Quilo that day, and kept that name when he was sold with his adopted mother. Now in a new home, all looked bright for the small colt, for he grew strong, and fluffy with each passing day, till Christmas. Now an almost three month old, Quilo quickly got the name little lamb, for his fluffy sheep like coat. That day, Quilo was out playing with some other foals, of course being watched over by there mothers, and some humans. When the wind picked up, and the temperature fell. Sending the little bit of snow on the ground flying around. Quilo faced the wind, and almost closed his eyes as he felt what he thought was a cool breeze. He glanced back when he heard cries, from both horse and humans. As he tilted his head, snow clouds started to roll in. The humans rushed to get the group of boucles inside. Quilo pinned his ears back, and went over to the mare he knew as his mother. He stayed calm as she and the other mares and foals panicked. The rest was a blur for the young foal, all he remembered was seeing devastation, and snowflakes that wouldn't leave him alone. The new addition to the foal brought fear to the humans, because he seemed to be living up to his name. And the foal was put up for sale not long latter. But no matter where the cheerful foal went, bad things followed....and they kept following even when he turned into a a stunning stallion.
He soon grew afraid of himself, and felt that where he went, this north wind followed, and always left places worse then when he came. So he believed he was the cause, and left the new place he was at, in hopes to prevent them from some terrible loss....through all the years, he was seen by few. And was always followed by the north wind. Sometimes passing without incident, sometimes not. He was eventually called Jack Frost by those who thought they same him, but only really saw his snowflakes, and then cold wind.
To this day, he's never been around humans to long, and isn't seen by many. But maybe one day thing will change. So goes the legend of this rarely seen Boucle....but it's just a ledgend....no horse can bring such a past, and never been seen...right?

So starts a small little story involving my cute new little boy Quilo. He's miss-understood, even though all he wants is to be loved....poor boy.
There is a reason why the bow he's wearing isn't in the story...but that's for next time. >>
So stay tuned for the next part.

Tried something new with this as well...and I'm so happy with the outcome.
