This is an idea I had for a transformation of my old character Dusk: www.deviantart.com/kryptid/art…

The basic concept is that the Sapient either merges with Dusk or donates their power and knowledge to Dusk when some potentially disastrous situation requires such a huge boost in fighting power. Dusk becomes much stronger, faster and durable. Also, since he now has the Sapient's knowledge, he can use any of the abilities of any of his spawn siblings.

As for the aurora scarf, I'm not sure of its significance. I mostly just thought it looked cool. Since they live on a tiny island in the Arctic Circle, the aurora borealis would be easily visible to them anyway. Maybe there's some connection there. Perhaps it is even the Sapient themself (I have no solid idea for what the Sapient would look like anyway, although I do have some alternative ideas). The scarf waves even in the absence of wind, is not a tangible object that can be grabbed, and slowly changes color from pink to purple, to blue, to green.

I would like to make a story or comic about Dusk, the Sapient and the other spawn, but am rather lacking on plots that I really like. Maybe when inspiration strikes, I'll come back to this.
