After being exiled, leading a resistance, freeing her people and joining the horde I'd say she deserves to enjoy a glass of arcwine and just chill for a bit
Thalyssra is easily my favourite character in WoW: Legion, so I hope you guys like her as well!

Yeah I think it was really unecessary bitter. I mean, she basically judged an entire "race" because the faults of a handfull of leaders of the group, for something they did 10000 years ago.

While I agree Tyrande was rude and tarred them all with the same brush, to be fair to Tyrande, she wasn't judging the Nightborne for something done 10,000 years ago. She was judging them for present actions because Elisande and many Nightborne had currently changed their stance to working with the Burning Legion despite opposing them 10,000 years ago. Plus, it's also a little judgmental of Thalyssra to brush off an entire faction because of the rudeness of one leader in the faction (we don't get Furion's view of the Nightborne).
My rant aside, I do like the character of Thalyssra and this is an amazing piece. really like how you've done Thalyssra. Her pose is a mix of elegant, relaxed and sensual. There's multiple ways to interpret her fingering the rim of her goblet and the play of light is excellent.

Also the Nightborne lived in seclusion for 10000 years, physically and mentally changed by the Nightwell in the process. As an Alliance guy I found her rudeness repulsive. She will regret it when they confront in the battlefield later in Battle for Azeroth.

Yeah, either they are gradually changing Tyrande for a future plotline or they simply needed an excuse to make them go to the horde for balance issues.
Because ever since the suramar war campaign started, Liadrin was a LOT MORE willing to cooperate than Tyrande

Liadrin compared similarities between Quel'Thalas and Suramar, and suggested the latter to join the Horde ranks. Thalyssra was already receptive to do so after weighing the Thalassian's respect and compassion against Tyrande Whisperwind's hostility, arrogance, mistrust and reluctance.

Do you use a screen tablet that you can draw directly onto? I can't seem to get nearly this sort of effect when I try with my Bamboo tablet. Is it just me or are they really that different to use?

currently, yes I do use a Wacom Cintiq and draw directly on screen, but it's definitely not required. I drew for a long time with a 50$ Genius tablet lol.
But what kind of effect are you specifically talking about? If possible I can try to explain how I did =o

It's more than just an effect. I just don't have the coordination to make the really precise brushstrokes required to really control my color application. (also, I'm recently suffering from my tablet dragging an image instead of marking it unless I double-tap these days, something about a bad windows update.
Long story short, I don't know how to digitally paint. I've tried over and over, but my attempts at hiding outlines, pencil or otherwise, all just result in a mess that still looks flat anyway.

this is something that comes from practice, there's really no easy way of doing it. My initial digital drawings had all sorts of issues (many of those you described), and with practice, checking tutorials and such you are bound to learn
The thing about your tablet, is an error with an update of windows with wacom tablets. You can check this thread on adobe forums that have a solution to that issue. forums.adobe.com/thread/247716… , this post in partiular:
"The latest windows update (KB4093112) has caused an issue with the Wacom tablet and Photoshop.
Do the following:
1. Use notepad to create a text file and type in :
UseSystemStylus 0
2. Save the file as PSUserConfig.txt in the following location
C: > Users > Username > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 > Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 Settings
3. Go to the Wacom tablet properties and for Photoshop under Mapping uncheck "Use Windows Ink"
4. Restart Photoshop (if it was open when you did this)
That is it - all should now work well"

Well, no. That just sent me around trying to perform other workarounds that have forced me to restart my computer no less than twelve times. That is not an exaggeration...
It's mostly because the seemingly simple solution you offered didn't work because there's more wrong with my situation...
