AHHHHHH I FINALLY FINISHED ITHoly freaking crap.
It's kinda funny, but I finished the sketch for this over a year ago. I only just started coloring it two/three days ago, and spent most of the time in those days struggling with it. I'm sure I missed a ton of mistakes, but it doesn't bug me too much. I'm pretty happy with the end result - it came out pretty much exactly how I wanted it to. That never happens, guys! o_o
But, yes, this is the cover for Fall to Ruin, that one IZ fic that I finished a while back. Give it a read if you like! (No, don't worry, it's not ZADR. XD)
I'd say more (aside from that I suck at drawing giant mechs and laser guns), but this thing seriously sucked the life out of me. I haven't even eaten yet today. Sooooo yeah. Bleh.
Fun fact! This thing took up 78 layers - I normally only use like...6! XD
Rice paper texture found on Google somewhere and messed with to the extreme, yaaaay

It's going to be far less romantic and more of a family love than anything, but yes, there will be some slight ZADR. I'm trying to do it a little different from all the other stuff out there so far, though; a ZADR experiment, you could say. xD

very nice. At least theres a LITTLE. i can handle that. Its written well enough i would read it even if it came out to be just a zadf. I love the story. And the first chapter of the sequel.

I'm actually right in the middle of reading this fic on FF.Net, and I have GOT to say, one of THE best IZ fics I have EVER read.
The concept in and of itself is entirely unique, the invading species is interesting and again unique, the inclusion of the baby is a REALLY interesting twist I have NEVER seen used in an IZ fic EVER, and the writing is downright FANTASTIC.
And, on top of it all, YOU'RE A FANTASTIC ARTIST AS WELL!!
This is simply INCREDIBLE!
In your style, yes, but with that key element of IZ characterization that makes this image just POP.

OMG there is so much win in this.
The poses, and especially the alien-mech-arm-robot-majiger in the back, are awing me with their perspective-ness.

Excellent~ It's finely detailed in some parts, and simple in others. Makes it kinda interesting.
At first I was like "rice paper, what the hell?" but actually it sort of works. It looks like there's debris and ash and crap floating around in the air.

Ah! Detail! That reminds me of something I forgot - the little crack in Dib's glasses! Man, how'd I miss that? I mean, he gets that crack in the first chapter! Geez, stupid me...come on! x[
I was actually thinking of using cardboard instead of rice paper, but I couldn't really find anything to my liking. And also, the dark brown kinda threw everything off... The creamish-colored rice paper I found worked much better, I think. Wasn't expecting the sort of debris-and-ash effect, though - I just didn't like the plain flat colors, and was all 'THIS MUST HAVE SOME TEXTURE OR I WILL NEVER LIKE IT' xD;
And now, I'm going to go fix that glasses thing, and then go to bed, as it is nearly four in the morning. Whooooo~ *worms off into the night*

Well, if you don't like the color of a texture thing, you could mess with image>adjustments>hue/saturation (er, I think) while the texture is still in it's own layer. Sometimes that fixes it. :0

I'm trying to work on the sequel, yes. Mostly been trying to piece out the plot, so it's more in-depth than just 'Zim and Dib start not-hating each other'. XD
