Well, after over eight whole years, it's my 500th deviation. I wanted it to be something relating to The Spirit Marauder, since I'm working on that again for a psuedo-Nanowrimo run, and also have it feature Jackie and Maria, given that I...basically never draw them. 8|; Also wanted to post something actually decent rather than a cruddy sketch, which I think most of my milestones have been so far??? XD; Thus, here we are - DEVIATION FIVE-DOUBLE-ZERO (wow!). I've had the sketch for this thing sitting around on my computer for well over...what, two years? Either way, it was a long time, and the original sketch was kind of bad, but as I still liked the general idea, I fixed it up, colored it, and BAM! Now I have another illustration to use somewhere in my novel. ...You know, provided I ever finish the damn thing. It's looking like it's gonna be really friggin' long.

Alternate title for this is 'The Prophecy of Three', which prompts me to post said prophecy straight from my novel for no reason at all, HERE WE GO:

"Born, on a night where star-filled skies are clear and the penultimate shape reveals itself in the heavens, these Children are. Blessed, too, are they, these rare Children born to and not yet of the nation of souls, for the Pantheon smiles upon them in their birth.

Years shall pass in measures of three, and soon they shall know no parents, for the mother and father alike shall be deported to shores beyond the reach of mere mortals. Soledra, the great and lonely lady, shall watch over these Children left behind, and shall bequeath unto them the signatures of the nation of souls. To only those of the world which is theirs, they shall not be forgotten, and thus they too shall never forget.

Impetra, the sturdy and watchful guardian, shall shield them as they have need of it, from injury and malevolence alike. Only shall the eldest hold this knowledge, and to that will defers the will of Impetra.

Vashura, the bright and blazing dragon, shall hold for them the wondrous gifts of the Pantheon, wild and bountiful as the flames which forged him. Only shall the youngest hold this dear, and shall know of the importance...and danger...that lies in three.

For they, these Children born to and not yet of the nation of souls, are only two.

At the times when their years may again be measured in threes, the times when the penultimate shape is again in the skies, a third may appear. This third shalt not be of them, cannot be, yet this third shall have the means to try, for a third shall open a channel. 'Lo, this divine channel, from which the gifts of the Pantheon flow free! This channel, this well of life and power, shall promise to the Third three glorious gifts: enlightenment, dominion, and ascension.

Damned shall be those who attempt to take on the mantle of the Third, chosen only by the blessed Children and their silent guardians. Soledra...Impetra...Vashura...they shall observe in their slumber, brought to wake only when two have become three.

In the penultimate shape of their rising shall come the judgment of all souls."
