Haha, you could probably kick my butt with Zbrush, so I'm glad you like them. xD A plushie would be so cute I don't think I could handle it. **; Crys really wants to get into plushie-making once we're able to move into our own space.
Shapeways is cool stuff! Still waiting anxiously for my order, since they've finished all but one part of it and the one part is delayed by a few weeks because the printers that print that material are down. Still, I never expected 3d printing to be so available to everyday people, so it's cool to try it out and explore the possibilities.

no way! i hate zbrush! it's the bane of my existance!! :'D i could maybe make something in mudbox.... but not in zbrush, i'm sure. :'D i've never really tried, though... the only thing i ever sculpted in zbrush is mountains, and a scar on a character, which exploded once put in maya... i guess it would be okay doing a zbrush character if i wasn't trying to import a displacement map to maya... that's the main reason i hate zbrush... that and it randomly turning a 3D model into a 2D image.... :'D
yeah, i was also surprised that 3D printing is so readily available! i bet it's expensive, though :'D maybe someday, when i have money, i'll try ordering something, too. i would probably try my hand at a ball-jointed doll that way! i wonder how the price would compare to just buying one from a website... :'D but it would be easier than making one out of sculpy, like i've been considering....

XD Since they're 3d models, I was actually thinking of printing them out in a plain white material over at Shapeways to have little figures to paint in real life. [link]
Their antennae might be too thin and run the risk of snapping depending on what size I printed them at, so I might have to thicken that part. We'll see. >3>
